43 years ago I went to a co-educational college which had a first degree organisation like a student's union.
It was the first year of co-ed so t'commitee decided to that it needed a "woman's member".
Those self-declared women who were present were most upset when one of the people standing for election's only qualification was that their second name was Mary.
Good to see nothing changes.
I note that in these 42 years the number of female CEOs in the FTSE 250 has risen from 0 to 18. At this rate we will take another 400 or so years to achieve parity.

I've no idea what this thread is about but I'll just say Liz Truss, the fittest and most photogenic in the cabinet by a mile and in a straight race with Ben Wallace for PM once Boris' extension period is over.
How many women have started wars ? I've got down Thatcher already.

Female rulers over the past 500 years have waged war more often than kings

Which war did she start then? Pretty sure the Argentinians invaded the Falklands to start a war or did the Ukrainians start the current conflict by resisting the Russian 'special operation? What does wage war mean? I mean QE2 has probably done a lot of waging war without actually being anywhere near the actual war (see Ferdinand of Aragon has been written out)

1480-1913. What about since the first world war ? I meant declared war or started a war.

Mrs T ended the war, she didn't start it, I believe that one of the things was the Argentinian male leadership didn't think a mere woman would stand up to them.

A women is an adult female human.
It annoys me greatly that we seem to spend a lot of time on the issue of those who want to be a woman but were born male.
There are so many tragic illnesses both physical and mental we should as a society concentrate on treating.

I can't figure out if I'm too smart or too stupid for this thread.. Chinese proverbs are simpler.

The transgender-vs-feminism debate is EXTREMELY complicated, and I can see both sides. There is no easy answer.
Tolerance is not exclusive or exclusionary.
I know a few transgender people, and they are some of the bravest people I've ever met - deciding that your body is wrong is not something anybody would ever do lightly.

youtu.be/A3xghfxJAO4Despite the advance in human civilisation, not all women are equal. A woman in Afghanistan is very different to a counterpart in the UK.
