So had an interesting situation
I purchased and paid for an item on the 8th
It got to the 18th and It hadn't arrived, so I politely emailed the seller he sends me a tracking number which he also adds to the listing.
It sets alarm bells ringing marked as dispatched by sender on the 4th, collected by courier on the 4th, and delivered on the 4th ( for EVRI that's unbelieveable )
So I message him back and the response is "it's automated, whats the issue" so I responded with "you have delivered the item 4 days before I purchased it"
2 hours later I get a message saying they "must have sent my item to another buyer" they have sent a refund, but unless I'd challenged it eBay would have sided with the seller as they had "proof of delivery"

unless the delivery address shares the same post code, unlikely.
Imagine a customer make several repeated purchase, that’s no way the seller could reuse the same tracking number from the past.

I had an amusing encounter on ebay recently, I needed a fuse that had to be a certain diameter length and rating, found it on ebay and bought one, it was the wrong length so wouldn't fit the holder, double checked and it must be the wrong item. I contacted the seller and said I wasn't going to return it, as wasn't worth the hassle, but just letting him know he had sent the wrong item. He replied that he had checked his stock and yes they were all wrongly described and he had sold loads of them and no one had mentioned they were wrong and thank you very much for telling me! He then sent me the right one free. I assume for such a cheap item people just binned them if they didn't fit and didn't bother to report back to the seller.

After a few recent purchases on ebay not arriving on time, and some not at all, I genuinely feel for small sellers.
It would be helpful if sellers could declare what courier they use as I personally would rather pay a bit more than the hassle of evri/ yodel service issues leading to refund requests or wait a few more days communication.
Similarly UK sellers stuff that actually is shipped from china.
Not so much being impatient rather than not getting what you've actually paid for.
