Hmm , I feel we have more pressing priorities up here. You can vote, have sex and now legally change gender at 16 , but you cant drive , or drink. Bit strange that some decisions are deemed to need a higher age for the correct decision to be made , but changing your gender , which if you go ahead with a full sex change , imo is a fairly serious decision .
Will be interesting to see what UK gment do about it.

LOL one of my American friends was saying his son got a pickup and a hunting rifle for his 16th Birthday, but they can't have a drink until they are 21.

As a lad I remember lots of young couples eloping to Gretna Green because it was easier to get married north of the border. I wonder if there will be a similar rush for gender reassignment.

That is one of the UK government concerns. AIUI Another issue is that while the law relates to a devolved matter, it will impact on the Equality Act which is not. The UK government actual has the power to prevent the law gaining Royal Assent.

If UK government over rule it , no doubt wee nicky will get all bitter again and claim its another intrusion into scottish law by westminster.
Maybe she should concentrate of ferries instead.

If this is good news for Scottish teenagers then there must be a lot of mixed up kids up north, but when Crankie is running the show then anything will go and many of them kids will regret it in the future if they start having bits chopped off.

UK should let Scotland head into more stupidity on its own. Joining in suggests Sunak has time on his hands. Kids having their bits cut off is Darwin award in action
