Finally jumped 100% from Hargreaves Landown after dangling halfway between them and ii. It just takes ages to transfer . OK they are easy to use ,but the expense and drag of dividend updates today have pushed me over the edge . If ii can get BP dididends up online while HG is still piddling behind ....working from home?

Hargreaves Lansdown are painfully slow at everything in my experience. I finally lost patience with them and left earlier this year. Over the years I've been given the wrong information, sent the wrong forms, been promised a phone call that never happened, ditto emails. I just got the feeling in the end that their customer service department doesn't give a stuff, and tells you any old nonsense to get you off the line asap.

I've found fidelity ok. Potential to get guidance from account managers who try to sell advice but dont push it. Fees much the same as other providers. Access to reports etc via portal.
Vanguard also seems to be basic but reasonably cheap.

Just to cheer you...
I got really fed up with ii.co.uk yesterday and today.
The mess that is the TUI rights issue is under way.
II didn't manage to allocate the rights to my ISA account until the afternoon of the first day.
I have signed up to the rights and have the cash in the account but I can only sell - not buy.
OK. Moved across to my trading account as the price fell below 100p - tried to buy and received an error message.
I cannot buy the rights there either.
Thanks II.

Left HG long ago, I found the price for the service was not acceptable. Now use ii, fidelity, Jarvis, Halifax and aj Bell each for slightly different things
