Its access the p2p board to some extent or another and shouldn't be a surprise, how kuff deal with the issue is important, and of course the initial valuations.

Most of my loans 85 are being delayed or re-financed, as I don't put new money into Kuflink I only re-invest, ( I presume others do the same) I'd of thought financing new loans must be getting slower. Hopefully I'll get a glut of re-payments in the near future!!!

Hopefully I'll get a glut of re-payments in the near future!!! I've noticed they are slow to fill. I'm in 90 loans, one (Kirkham) is in default, but mostly repaid, the rest are paying monthly interest. I invest new money when new loans (not new tranches of the existing loans) are released and withdraw when I sell them or when they get repaid. My current stake in KUF is about 25% lower than it was a year ago.

Also, why don't you invest in tranches of existing loans?

I started withdrawing a while ago, mainly because i needed the money, but i keep withdrawing now because virtually every loan gets extended and loan sales have been slow. They have addressed the issue of penalty interest, but until they start to set this in stone in the initial contract so investors know exactly what they are investing in i won't reinvest.

My one year ISA ended a while back but not in a hurry to invest back in .Too many in my main account are getting kicked down the road now,I know there has been no losses yet with Kuflink but seen this pattern before,Crowd property is the same now

Also, why don't you invest in tranches of existing loans? It is lower because I've reduced the value of my investments per loan. I sell my loan parts when it is getting closer to maturity to reduce the risk. I don't mind loosing 2 weeks interest for a peace of mind. I used this strategy with AC and it helped me to avoid a fair number of defaults. I prefer to diversify, therefore don't want to have too much in one single project. I invest in the first tranche as much as I deem reasonable, so there no room left for funding following tranches.

Thanks for the replies, all very sensible stuff. There is a concerning trend re extended loans. Barely a loan hasn't been extended especially when it comes near to repayment date. My strategy is to re-invest but in smaller amounts per loan, time will tell if this is a good idea?! I have 3 loans in default and depending on how these work out, in the next few months, may give me the push to stop re-investing.

I meant they should start laying it out beforehand, not scrabbling around when it becomes late. No one even blinks if a Proplend loan is late.... It's almost seen as a bonus.

Diversification is the one of the keys for mitigating the risk, not just per loan, but also per borrower. Extended loans are a lesser concern, property developments and sales timescales can never be set in stone.

Unfortunately now up to 4 defaulted loans and this one is my largest loan by a fair bit. With the knowledge I've gained I doubt I'd invest in this loan today and certainly not a large amount!
