I opened a Chip account yesterday. I allowed access to both my sole and joint accounts, thinking that would be for analysis. The Chip app is now in a muddle: it has my card details for my sole account and account details for my joint. So when I try to initiate a transfer it is looking to take it from my joint acct.
I've found their 'Chat' to essentially be non-existent: i.e. its just a bot front end that points you to various bits of online help.
Has anyone else got experience of Chip when having issues and how have they found them ?
[I've now used the 'Chat' to request they close the connection. I'll then see whether I want to reset it to my sole only or simply not bother out of concern of whether they are a risk of being a non-communicative black hole].

Were you chatting to a human agent?
Try remove your card and linked account first, then add the only account you want, assuming that’s your sole account.
It is not necessary to add all your bank accounts linked to your debit card.

It is not necessary to add all your bank accounts linked to your debit card. on the first point: certainly didn't seem to be (I'd call that a NO in fact). But I've no idea from the app how you manage to make that happen. There didn't seem to be anyway of 'deleting' the account connection yourself (which is what I was going to do). That road simply leads to a specific chat, pre-programmed responses, and then it will be processed by them in due course. That is where I'm now at. Its not very reassuring that their help/chat still has a message up saying that they are shutting at 6pm on the 11/04 !

I managed to "update my card or bank" details 6 weeks ago according to the chat archive. The conversation was first dealt with the bot and followed up by a human.
With a confirmation "Our usualy reply time: a few hours" before follow up by a human.

Howevver, I think now I'm on the path for them deleting the bank connection entirely and my then starting a fresh. Which is not a big deal. Thanks for the info.
