It also seems that the FCA may have closed the Case on Funding Secure and are not, errrr, pursuing any avenues? Now, given there appears to have been several very clearcut cases of Fraud, why would the FCA not pursue? One can but wonder why, surely the FCA handled the whole FS saga professionally and competently, from beginning to end? Doesn't the FCA exist to uphold and pursue Consumers Interests? So, what to do? I am not at all well vested in such things, but I figure A GOOD START might be if any Dear Readers on here are related to, or on very good terms with, Someone High Up In The Police Force, we just might be able to get a Serious Fraud Investigation kicked off? Or just watch as one or more people walk off with your money, scot free, laughing at you?

I got yet another email this morning saying: We are writing to provide an update in relation to your complaint about the FCA in respect of FundingSecure LTD.
The investigation into your complaint is ongoing but we will be in touch as soon as we have reached a conclusion, or in 4 weeks time to provide a further update, whichever is sooner.
Should I now expect a final email very soon that says what you've written above ?

Two different things here? 1/ The FCA investigating Funding Secure, for fraudulent activity, amongst other things. and 2/ The FCA investigating your Complaint regarding Funding Secure about, whatever it was your Complaint was about. Perhaps your Complaint was about the way the FCA, errrrr, "handled", and were, errrr, "involved", in the Funding Secure fiasco disaster? I know mine was.

The FCA informed complainants that their investigation into FS was complete and they could now investigation complaints that were previously deferred due to the enforcement investigation. The outcome of the investigation is unknown but the fact that they can proceed with complaints without fear of prejudicing any criminal action indicates that they havent come up with sufficient grounds to prosecute. Unfortunately I doubt it meets the SFO criteria.

Both the FCA and Vested Interests have a, errrr, vested interest, in keeping information, complicity and dirty linen well away from prying public eyes. I mean, Reputations are at stake!

..... Unfortunately I doubt it meets the SFO criteria. Correct, the sums involved (even including the full loan book) are not large enough to interest the Serious Farce Office. That said the SFO is about as disfunctional as the FCA and has a particularly bad record so lack of their involvement is perhaps not a bad thing. www.ft.com/content/ca236cc5-6e94-4e5d-935b-62047ccb8486

Criminal investigations would surely shine a light on the failings of the FCA, that explains a lot.

Criminal investigations would surely shine a light on the failings of the FCA, that explains a lot. Correct. Which is almost certainly why NOTHING is happening, nor will happen. Great System, innit? And an even greater "Service" from the Organisation whose remit is to "Protect Financial Consumers"! Complain to the FCA and Contact your MP.

"Complain to the FCA" - I did so in 2019, giving a detailed account of the issues. The complaint was on hold until recently because of an ongoing investigation of FS, which was recently completed. A recent update on my complaint was: "We are writing to provide an update in relation to your complaint about the FCA in respect of FundingSecure LTD. The investigation into your complaint is ongoing but we will be in touch as soon as we have reached a conclusion, or in 4 weeks time to provide a further update, whichever is sooner. Thank you for your patience".Believe me, almost 4 years after entering administration, my patience is exhausted.

Doesn't the FCA exist to uphold and pursue Consumers Interests? I think the FCA/FOS/FSCS have, over the years, slowly progressed from their mantra of 'upholding & pursuing Consumer Interests' to 'Upholding & Protecting the UK Financial System' - that way, they can justify Protecting the Institutions by NOT taking Steps/Actions against them in the Majority of the cases (and thereby justify NOT Upholding Majority of the Consumer Complaints).
