I'm pleased that TC have got a regular stream of RPI index linked loans (8% + RPI), on a decent 7 year term, amortising. I confess I agitated a bit to persuade the borrower (G******ld) this was the way to go.
I like them because who knows what inflation will be in a few years time, the government has an awful lot of debt to pay off, and inflation is a great way to turn what looks like a huge amount into something more easily repaid.
The borrower can be confident of covering any level of inflation because they themselves are receiving RPI index linked money from government (biomass green energy). (Oh yes, if inflation goes negative we don't suffer a reduction)
I'm publicising it here because it's going a bit slowly and I want them to keep on coming.
