Just got an email from RS suggesting I could use RS for pension drawdown. Irritatingly it then gives no details of an RS SIPP, or any other means of actualising this rather attractive idea.
so, please, how can I use RS for pension drawdown?

I read the blog page linked to in that email as suggesting you draw down an existing pension saved with someone else and put the cash into RS instead of an annuity. So not really suggesting an RS SIPP. edit... Looks like I was wrong.

You can put RateSetter into your SIPP, depending on your SIPP platform: www.ratesetter.com/sipp/"RateSe tter is the first consumer P2P platform to be available through a SIPP. We’ve done this by teaming up with a growing list of forward-thinking providers. By using these platforms, investors with a SIPP will be able to take everything good about RateSetter and combine it with the considerable tax advantages of a pension. And, with new pension freedoms, it’s pretty good timing too"

I emailed HL about P2P lending via SIPP and got the following reply (4 sep 2015) :
As it stands peer-to-peer lending is not an investment option we offer. That being said we are currently investigating the possibility further and hope to introduce something in the future. At the moment this development is in the early stages, so I am afraid I cannot confirm if or when it will become available, but we are keenly aware that our clients may wish to explore ways to obtain higher rates of return on the deposits they make with us and this is a very high priority. When more information is available we will make an announcement via the usual channels of our website, email, and Investment Times magazine.
I'm not holding my breath.

Todays Daily Mail has an article saying HL are planning to set up their own P2P platform. Only for their own customers initially before being rolled out for others. Presumably a SIPP would be available within that.

Does anyone know how much it costs to invest via SIPPClub in the Ratesetter SIPP? I have scanned their website but it looks like you have to register to get details so thought I would ask here first.
