My rate for the monthly market has been set at 3.5% for well over a month for reinvestments. Mostly this is stuck to, however it also lends under this rate (3.1% and 3.3%) in the last couple of days. Any ideas? I thought if you stipulated a rate, it sticks to it or higher?
Thanks

It shouldn't. If you have settings for 3.5% RS has no right to lend it out at less (or more). Check that your reinvestment settings have not been changed and had "market rate" ticked. That would override "your rate" settings, and allow lower or even higher rates.

If you DM me your email user ID, I can check your settings.

Settings look good to me. I've PM'ed Kev to see if he can shed some light.

Answer provided by DM, who if mukiwa, wants can provide a detailed answer. But the system is working as designed (albeit you could say this is a little confusing), it's related to reinvestment from longer term markets into the monthly. Your Rate must be set for each reinvestment origination setting. Kevin.

Your Rate must be set for each reinvestment origination setting. Something I've found a somewhat confusing design decision (and also "your rate" cannot be set for funds added by standing order, ad-hoc bank transfers, etc.) Could be worse though - as I recall the original RS design allowed re-investment instructions to be set per contract!

Yes, the 'standing order' nonsense caught me out too - I had assumed that re-investment instructions (YR) would apply to newly added funds too. Of course that was back when YR was just a floor, not something you need to jiggle with daily. 8<.
