£75-ish repaid, £130-ish still showing as outstanding. Is it me, or is that a bit odd?

Nope, that happens quite often. Someone got a fat Y/End bonus and decided to pay down their loan(s) a bit. Not as common as complete repayment, but not unheard of.

They've overpaid twice in the last 3 months. Furthermore, they've backloaded their payments meaning instead of it being a 5Yr contract, it now anticipates it finishing after just 27 months but with the bulk being repaid in months 25 and 26.

When customers make over (but not full) payments, they can choose to either
(a) keep the monthly payments and reduce the term, or
(b) keep the term and reduce the monthly payments.
All part of the borrower service....
