Hey Ed; Maybe you could introduce some pizza and banana pictures just to slow things down a bit

Apologies to those that missed it... I was also a little taken aback by how quickly this loan was taken up. For some reason, we had approx. 50% more users on the site at 4pm compared with other recent loans. Regards, Ed Time to switch to .5%? Perhaps. Will see what happens with the 2 x £150,000 AE MPs later this week/early next and the £500,000 bridging loan coming up. Regards, Ed.

Regards, Ed I think the revolving basket nature of the security appeals, not dependant on one borrower or one specific item's worth...

Every other loan launch its been really quick to respond. Didn't stop me getting what I wanted, just took a few seconds longer than other recent ones.. Really? Did anyone else notice a slowdown?

yes, it was sluggish. An I guess because everyone went to the site around 4pm ans was hammering/refreshing the page every second.
I did that too, and after waiting when I saw the loan first time it was 40% taken and after placing my bid it was in the 80%

I refreshed at 4pm and it was 100%, put my bid in and it was 50% when it refreshed, another refresh and it was down to £1700 & then finally refresh it was down to double digits. So for me (with an internet connection that ReCaptcha has identified as slow on a rival site) it seemed fine.

SS, FS & AC haven't offered much this month. Edit: Actually, FS have offered a fair amount.

6 seconds for the fastest finger, not bad. Wouldn't mind knowing which one was mine I reckon I was at around the 10 second mark.

Well, when my really snail pace internet had refreshed there was only £18k left, but having had so much practise (with virtually no success) at the bizarre pics elsewhere, I got over my shock, swung into action and successfully managed to snag a bit . I was wondering if there were bots on the PM though, but just having seen Eds post, with only 169 investors and the first taking a full six secs - maybe not.

For those who might be interested - here are the bids. Regards, Ed. Hmm clearly my bid wasn't as late as I thought - had one of those classic "oh **** it's 4pm!" moments, it was already 16:00 when I hit refresh to get the invest button anyway and I'm not on a fast connection yet seems I still made it in 22secs. (I know which was mine as it was an odd number of reinvested cash)

The initial 4pm on the dot refresh was slower than normal but not a lot. Still plenty of time to do the deed then watch it disappear. Interesting to see the full bids list, particularly the number of full allowance takers.

For those who might be interested - here are the bids. Regards, Ed. Would be a neat feature to have this full list on the website with timestamps and usernames (or partially obfuscated with *, but recognizable) . Atm its just last 10. We could then all marvel the speed and know who the FFF is. And big kudos for transparency to MoneyThing! Don't want to suck up but in latest "unofficial polls" MT got my votes in most categories

Was doing tax return so forgot all about it until 16:30 ish. Never mind - there are more to come and I don't want too many electronics baskets.

You were all too quick for me with my rural internet connection. Ed, I wonder if you can come up with a scheme to give priority in the next one to those who missed out this time. Otherwise the on fibre will get all of that one too.
