No problem here either. Maybe a second or so to refresh immediately after 4pm but nothing more than that.

Unusable? It slowed up for sure but I placed my two loans in about one minute.

Much the same here, initial lag before and around 16.00 but then pretty responsive. Could have had bits of all 4 I suspect if I wasnt already happy with holdings in renewals.
Edit Plusnet slowband, Win 7, much faster than forums are currently

Posted this in the other (wrong) topic apparently. Also had sluggishness* for about 90 seconds, starting at 16:00:00 on the dot. Returned to normal after 16:01:30.
* When I say sluggishness I mean pages taking more than about a second to load. I was seeing a fairly consistent 7 - 10 seconds loading time for the noted period.

The site certainly became non-responsive for me as well at 4pm for about a minute - the pages would just sit there waiting to load.
First time I recall facing this issue on MT.

The MPs will last 15 minutes or so, possibly a bit longer. There were two other AE portfolios just last week so I guess many lenders won't be seeking a full 1% Not too far out with my 15 minutes estimate then. Less than 5% still available at 4.15pm (£6k in one, £7k in the other) [Although there may be a long tail for the final knockings ...]

Peak of 207 users on the site at 4pm & 1,500 pageviews per minute.
Once these are filled, I will publish an excel sheet to show the transactions for those that are interested.
Regards,
Ed.

I think on average we were initially taking around 5 bids per second. We have to lock the table in the DB with each bid to prevent race conditions which will be the likely cause of the slowdown. Just discussing what we can do to make some improvement. Regards, Ed

The last two £150,000 AE Portfolios took just over 24hrs each (7th January), and therefore assumed that they would take a similar time to fill this time around.
Well I just looked in... Can't see it lasting the hour ... about 5 k each left...lol

For me, that means that the initial 24 hour restriction is working about right for these. For the 2 renewals, they went very quickly. I was lucky enough to manage to get both, but I expect there will be more people disappointed then happy on this. How low do you think it reasonable to set the % restriction before the parts become too small? It will be interesting to see the transaction sheet, once the last few percent have gone. Regarding the speed, please do not risk stability for speed. The site may have got a touch slower, but there were no timouts and it looks like all requests did get through. Just my £0.02 worth.

I don't know about that, they're clearly not going to last 24 hours. Only the first couple of investors getting home from work at 5:30pm are going to get their share, what about the rest of them? The 24 hour restriction would be working about right if they lasted about 24 hours, imho.

Slowed for me then crashed out! Had noticed the site slowed a little last time. Sadly missed out on the two I was going for this time. Seems more a case of fastest web connection rather than fastest finger! On the wider discussion of whether a pre-bid system would be preferable, personally I would prefer to not have to sit at my computer waiting for the clock to tick, though I don't have any solutions to offer to counter some of the issues / problems this alternative to playing 'fastest finger' may present, as outlined by some of the posters here. And, I do feel the timings of the auctions lean more in favour of the non-worker, which may be something MT will need to consider as it grows and wishes to expand its lender pool.
PS new to forum so apols if my post appears in the wrong place, etc.
