MoneyThing Ed, are you planning to make Moneything loans available via your own IFy ISA or via an aggregator after 6/4/16?

MoneyThing Ed, are you planning to make Moneything loans available via your own IFy ISA or via an aggregator after 6/4/16? Afternoon, I can confirm that we are certainly looking to cater for this, however the timing of it is yet to be established as it is dependent on when we get our full FCA permission. We will certainly let everyone know regarding both full authorisation & the ISA progress. Kind regards, Ed

Would a poll help to show interest in this and how much people looking to invest?
Where's that poll guy?

Ed has already said he is wanting to do this but has to work with regulations. If the answer is 10k or 10bn, it will still take just as long for the regulators to do their thing.

Just wondered Ed, if there is any update on the IF ISA ?. Is there a rough idea of timescale when this might go live yet.

rock500 only companies that are fully FCA authorised can offer ISA's. 84 p2p platforms (most will currently have interim authorisations) have submitted applications for full authorisation, but the FCA are giving no official guidance on when the first of those 84 will approved never mind the last. Some rumours floating around suggest possibly the first few will be announced in September ... but that was before the Treasury Select committee wrote to the FCA & BoE last week to express some concerns (the sub text being that the FCA are rumoured to be mindful to grant most applications not reject most applications). Equally well at the beginning of the year the rumours were the first few would be announced in July.
Once platforms receive FCA authorisation they then have to apply for approval to offer ISA's, a process that should take a relatively few number of weeks. So there is some chance the first ISA's from the major p2p platforms will be this calendar year.

thanks mrclondon for the detailed info would still be interested to hear how moneything are progressing with there IF ISA Afternoon rock500, As mrclondon has mentioned, we would only be able to apply for approval for the ISA once we are fully FCA authorised. At this moment in time, we do not yet have a firm indication of when we will be authorised, however in the meantime we have been doing some homework on the ISA and meeting with a few potential partners who can assist us with the administration and technology aspect of being able to offer the ISA (i.e. looking at whether we run it in-house or outsource some aspects). We are now fairly clear on which route we are going to go with respect to the ISA, however we have now put this work on hold until such time as we have a firmer idea as to when we will have our full permission with the FCA. I hope this helps, although I am sorry I can't be more specific at this stage. Kind regards, Ed

Hi everyone. I'm just starting on my p2p investment journey but all good so far. I'm just waiting for funds to clear on MT before I can invest. I'm starting with FP455.
For what its worth I would certainly be interested in the ISA and look forward to further updates on this.

Don't hold your breath The Summer newsletter mentions a survey we'll be getting shortly to gauge IFISA priority. FCA approval is holding most platforms up in this regard. I'm also interested in a MTIFISA
