In the current climate of faster payments, ie same day transfers, can anyone explain why it takes moneything 3 working days to credit money back to my personal bank account?

In the current climate of faster payments, ie same day transfers, can anyone explain why it takes moneything 3 working days to credit money back to my personal bank account? Somtimes the 'sending' bank decides to do a check on the transaction for money laundering etc.. I had that happen to one of my withdrawals a few months back. I suspect that they picked on my transaction because it was my first withdrawal to a joint account that had already had withdrawals made to it from my wife's MT account. Anyway, the delay was not in MT processing the (weekend) withdrawal, and when I contacted MT about it Ed offered to contact the bank to speed things up, but as I was in no hurry for it I let the process run its course. I haven't had any more of those delays so I guess they're happy that I'm not money laundering - I wish.
