I don't seem to be able to sell the small amount I put into these (the longest one) so guess it hadn't been fully funded yet no only the first two tranches have fully sold then last 3 still need funding although I would have thought the longest one would have been most popular as if it was going to faill it will most likely be before the 1st one pays back anyway and if the 1st one pays back and it defaults afterwards the security would be better

3 of the 5 tranches still to fund aobut £120,000 in total. Oops - that's what I meant. Two fully funded, so three remaining. I wonder if there'll be a cashback incentive at some point? (Hey, it doesn't hurt to hope).

I think if MT want the decks clearing they are going to have to it been a few weeks now and no real take up of it lately, at least they should only have to offer cashback n the last few tranches

Since we are ok at the moment in terms of utilisation of our float, we are happy for this to trickle down for the time being. I just wanted to mention that should we offer an incentive on a loan such as this (i.e. in multiple tranches), in the spirit of fairness, we would only introduce the incentive to cover all past and future participants in all of the tranches. Regards, Ed.

Regards, Ed. A dumb question from a relative newcomer to MT, but what is the situation regarding interest for the 3 tranches that are still to be fully funded. Is interest payable to a lender only once the tranche he/she has invested in becomes fully funded or it is calculated from the time the 'Invest ' button is clicked? Thanks

At the moment all the loans on MT are prefunded by either MT or there partners, so when they go on the system they are live, you get interest from the day you invest. The 120K still waiting to be funded on the 3 tranches has already been lent by MT

ferdy , interest is paid from the day it goes live on the platform, or from the day you invest whichever is the latter. It is paid on the monthly day of the loan start date which might be different to either of the above, and is basically the day MT funded it which is normally before it goes live on the platform. Thus the first payment normally equates to slightly less than one month's interest, but thereafter it's a full month each time. The only thing you can't do if the loan hasn't filled completely is sell your loan parts. In Edit: X-posted with ben, who was a bit more succinct .

I thought the monthly interest payment day was based on the loan end date.

Are you sure? I received interest today for a few loans and that appears to be based on the date of purchase, not the end date.

I think Ed should know, it's his company... yes, the repayments are made on the day of the month of the end date. Which is often the same as the day of the month of the start date but not always. I promise it is so.
