Navigating the RS website (from logging on to logging off and everything in between) is taking an inordinate amount of time and has been for a few weeks now. Admittedly I am on a slow, variable connection in Spain but other sites are not this bad and it was similar (but not quite this bad) in the UK. Given the rather clunky way that loan orders are placed (and early payback of decent rates and lower current rates), I'm even more frustrated than normal. Is anyone else having similar issues?

Sorry about your speed, but to be blunt it's pretty fast for me. I typically use my mobile or laptop over WiFi and it's always fast. Just logged in now and everything was instant. The only page that seems take a while is the Provision Page within the RateSetter information tab of the members area, but this is only a couple of seconds and it is loading a lot of live data. Perhaps Brexit has caused your Internet speed to slow down.... Kevin..

No particular issues here. If you have access to Windoze, or an appropriate app, 'trace route' to the server will tell you where along the route the delays are occurring (windows command prompt, tracert http://www.ratesetter.co.uk) .. I'm seeing about 30ms, and (only, amazingly) 8 hops to get there. From Spain you may be getting routed all around Europe to get to the servers. If the delay is not getting to the server, then server capacity gets to be a suspect, but in that case we'd all be sharing the joy.
(stupid forum insists on putting in http etc .. you don't do that, just start at the 'www' part)
p.s. try a) a different browser, b) a different PC or tablet .. just on the off-chance you have got a bug, messed up cache, or a nasty infection of some kind.

Although not a speed issue, I've had a few instances over the last couple of days where I can't navigate to the website. No error messages, just the "connecting" with the spinning circle but nothing happens. The spinning stops but I remain on the page I was originally. I've tried a couple of browsers which both have the same issue. The only way I can fix it is to reboot the router. Its as if my ip address is somehow getting blocked despite being successful earlier in the day.

I'm impressed how fast the website is even on a 3g mobile network on my andriod phone.
I have quite a few 5 year loans built up and the "on loan" list comes up surprisingly quickly when I clicked on it just now.

Apologies westonkevRS (is that Weston-super-Mud or your surname BTW?), I forgot to update you when I got back to the UK and speed was a lot better. It's definitely a Spanish thing and traceroute is consistently timing out on couple of early hops. It's now virtually ground to a halt during the day - it took me half an hour to login to internet banking yesterday and my transfer to SS was actioned twice. Their tech support appears to consist of a spotty youth whose only redeeming attribute is that he is fluent in at least twenty monosyllabic English words that haven't yet made it to the OED. A new WISP provider is installing their equipment on Friday before we fly back... maybe. Well it is Spain so I'm not cancelling our current provider just yet.

Anyone else having issues logging in this afternoon? The website didn't recognise the password, nor has it recognised the one that RS sent me as a reset request...

Yes, there was an issue with members log-in. But it was a letter of minutes, so it was decided to fix without making a big fuss. All is OK now ... Kevin.

It isn't for those of us who tried to change our password and who are now locked out. I tried to change my password using your automated system when it wouldn't let me log in. The problem is that the system is not sending me a new password to log in with. I have both spoken to and emailed Ronan but am no further forward. I know my email address is OK as Ronan's emails reach me. There is nothing from you in my junk folder. It appears that your password reset system has taken a dislike to me. I emailed you again yesterday about this and am still waiting for a reply. My name is Richard Phillips.
