I think that this thread shows that basically we like collateral and want it to succeed.

I think that this thread shows that basically we like collateral and want it to succeed. Agreed. As a bit of a postscript, yesterday my internet connection slowed dramatically around 11am, BT were having problems across the country. This time London wasn't affected so it didn't make the news but it hit everywhere from Hampshire to Manchester to Dundee (just 3 online rants I read) .... so perhaps the problems that everybody was experiencing were not totally down to CO. By 5pm my system was running so slowly that even speed checkers were timing out

I thought it was just me as my connection is bad anyways (Hampshire countryside and 4km away from my junction box, copper all the way!) But it was particularly bad yesterday, everything was fine (apart from Collateral) until around 11/12 ish when all my devices were struggling with everything. I reset my router after an hour and assumed it was that.

I also tried resetting the router but to no effect. Then at 4pm I was struggling with MT - half displayed pages, white outs etc, as for opening two browsers...... By that stage nothing was working well so I decided to dig a bit deeper.

IMO I think the title of the thread is harsh. I'm not a techy so no idea what the problems are, but a shambles? is it that bad? works ok for me.

I really, really hope that when the site comes back up if it turns out to be not quite as fixed as we would all like we don't see people losing their rag and throwing their toys out of the pram.
You can test stuff until you are blue in the face but you can never account for the things you didn't think of. Especially with the customer breathing down your neck (just guessing), and the phone going every 5 minutes. The real world is the only definitive test.
I am sure that those of us who have been with the site for a while will be tolerant.

Please Gordon, put a brake on the sm as well until fixed.
Just bought 60 of ring. No purchase showed and no reduction in funds or amount for sale on ring. Assumed I had clicked cancel in error. Repeated above. Still no purchase showing, no reduction in funds, no reduction in amount of ring for sale. Two emails received thanking me for spending 120. Still no ring in purchases, no reduction in funds and no reduction in amount of ring for sale.

Its been clearly pointed out on here that they are working on the site, yet many head off and try and use it anyway.... I wonder how many people have to test the facts behind the sign which says, "do not touch, hot surface" ??

I'm now puzzled everyone on this thread knows that Gordon is trying to fix it, why would anyone use it while it is being fixed. edit crossed with fp (great minds think alike )

The SM should not show anything for sale until fixed.

Experienced problems with all three, though I did actually make a purchase on my phone.

I wonder how many people have to test the facts behind the sign which says, "do not touch, hot surface" ?? More to the point, if the site is not working, why is it available? Put up a page saying website down for maintenance and take the loan pages offline until fixed. Again, basic IT methodology not being followed. I'm sure not all Collateral members belong to this forum so why shouldn't they try and access the loans page? I haven't seen a general email from Collateral saying they are experiencing website problems. This is really basic stuff, which they are not doing. Have to agree with all thats being said here. I am very new to this p2p company. The concept looks great but some of these posts regarding security and IT issues seems a little worrying. Hopefully things will turn around quickly , but until then i shall keep my investment low.
