I know I'm missing something obvious, but with a £25 limit on bids for the first 24 hours, how come someone was able to hoover up more than £6000 in one chunk this morning?

Thanks Geraldine ....
I wondered how the available balance had dropped so far overnight so checked 'recent investments' earlier this AM
Definitely an amount over £6000 was listed......
EDIT:
Dont know whether it was a result of my post but only half hour or so ago the amount available was in the ~£700 region
Now back up to nearly £7000 - so it obviously was cancelled.
Ed or any of the Things - can you tell us how this transaction was allowed through?

Our apologies - this was a mistake on our part which has now been reversed. (A lender who has just returned from holiday, originally had over £6,000 in this loan, forgot to tick the rollover and asked if we could reinvest their funds back in. We mistakenly reinvested this forgetting the bid restriction was still in place). Regards, Ed. EDIT (just tagging sildenafil & johni who discussed this on another thread)

I hope the investor is sending a suitably large chocolate donation

I wonder if that same lender had a similar proportion of the outstanding about invested in the other part of the loan (Tranche A).

I think everyone was gunning for the bigger of the two (last bid 16:00:10) and left the smaller one to linger a whole 21 seconds.

I bid £2500 on the larger one at 16:00:07 ahead of the big bids and got £50! NOT A HAPPY BUNNY. I've worked out that this wasn't because I was too late but because the system checks funds availability when the web page is loaded and not when the invest button is pressed. This has happened to me before so I should have known better but it is extremely annoying. Any chance of getting this fixed MoneyThing

Just been discussing this with The Shuang and we can do a fix (a change to the client side validation logic). Will add this to the list. Regards, Ed.
