What are the tax effects of the change to handling secondary market transactions by always cancelling existing agreements and issuing new ones? Both CGT and income tax/accrued interest scheme and whether they are simple loans or not.

Hi James/Pom I will have a word with the accountants and revert to you. Regards Ablrate Hi ablrate please can you advise on what the accountants have said about this, or when we may hear? Thanks, Adam Hi We spoke with them but we wanted to get a definitive. Their initial response is that it wouldn't really change their previous opinion (which we posted as a guide in the FAQ). I want further clarification on the 'simple loans' matter, and of course we cannot give any advice at all, but the view we take is that the new system makes it very clear that the loan is between borrower and lender. Forgive the delay on this. Regards Ablrate
