Morning, I'm sure you're all aware of the server hardware issues we've experienced over the past few hours. Due to this and suggestions from forum members, we have decided to delay the loans until later today. Once we're happy everything is back up and running, I'll give a couple of hours notice before the loans go live. Sorry for the delay and any inconvenience this has caused. Many thanks, Gordon In case it's being missed, this was posted about an hour ago, and an email has gone out too, but given the server is still down........

This Server/Website downtime and failure simply shouldn't happen, something's not right.

Little furry animals spotted coming from space over Manchester late last night. Don't get them wet!!!! These things happen. Frustrating as it is I am sure Gordon and the team want it sorted as soon as they can and they will find out why it happened and what they need to do to prevent it happening again.

given the problems it might be a very good idea to delay the launch of the 2 new loans until tomorrow Well I've made arrangements to be available to bid today. Tomorrow does not suit. Pretty poor show collateral. Bad stuff happens you will get over it

When I read the email I thought it was just slow loading pages/ an f5 rush as the loans were launched.. didn't realise the whole website would be completely down for hours.
Interestingly the my advert at the top of P2P independent forum says 'Afraid of Getting Hit by DDoS, DDoS risk calculator'.. so even the ads script is reading something into the content of the discussion! (...and perhaps my google of the error message from the site)

And the cash will be withdrawn and find a home elsewhere - assuming that its not been transferred out to a bank in Mexico! It is really not acceptable for a company that is handling large amounts of cash to simply go offline like this.

Must be a few worried folk out there... Just seen that 35 users are logged into this Collateral part of the P2P forum.
It would be good to be advised that this hard-ward failure did not involve user's accounts, and if it did they have backups...

Afternoon,
I can only agree with all the comments, this is not acceptable and we have told UK2 which is our server hosting provider. We've paid 12 month's in advance for this and will be looking for a full report on how this has happened.
We've been taking calls all day from investors and can assure you we are here and trying our best to get things back up and running. Unfortunately we are relying on a third party provider to fix this and are in their hands.
Many thanks,
Gordon

Afternoon,
I've taken today's loans offline and will give an update shortly on when they will go live.
Any feedback on this would be taken on board.
Many thanks,
Gordon

The main focus from Collaterals point of view should be service providers should not damage your companies reputation.
From your customers point of view, the more updates you can issue the less paranoid investors become :-)
