toast I also pre-registered on the 18th Jan and to the best of my knowledge have had nothing from MoneyThing recently so have just been waiting for my turn in the queue now following the advice of oldtimer I see under account I can register ISA account but I had no idea of the existence of this option, hmmmmm, did I miss something or did they miss me out ? Afternoon Jester, If you can see an option to register for an IFISA, then you should have been contacted via email to make you aware. If willing, if you could email/call us we can then investigate why you were not notified. Many thanks, Ed

MoneyThing on further inspection I did get this email on 09/04/18: Dear Lenders. MoneyThing are pleased to announce the opening of our pre-registration list for IFISA applications. Add how to apply On the Home page, under Lenders, you will see a button for IFISA and if you click that, then an application page appears. Once your application has been accepted, you will find a new button at the top right which is accessible from your name. Hover over your name and it should appear. From this, you will be taken to a new IFISA page with the new options available to you. If you have any problems, please don’t hesitate in asking. Kind regardsWas this the notification? I remember at the time it bewildered me as it says pre-registration list is open, but I had already pre-registered. The English seems strange such as " add how to reply" Further to that by following the instructions I arrive at this " Current MoneyThing lenders can pre-register for our IFISA now!"

I think most of the pre-registered list must have been offered the option by now, so the next question is 'when is it going to be thrown open to all and sundry' (and how will that function - will everyone be offered the 'register for an ISA' button? MoneyThing -answers on a postcard! (p.s. not affected, I am already in ... at least most of the money is, I just need to be able to buy some stuff!)

I also preregistered on Jan 18th (the day MoneyThing sent the email saying they were now accepting pre-registrations) and received a confirmation email back - no email or register button for me either. The £20k burning a hole in my current account is going to end up on another platform soon!

I've nothing under the "Account" tab, but I see if you go to their home page (click on the MoneyThing logo on the top left, then "Lend", then "IFISA" then there is the option to "Register as a lender". I'm just about to try it. No - it doesn't work. I'm going to email them to enquire.

Afternoon, 185 users pre-registered with us on the 18th. We have invited up to #84 as of yesterday and we will be inviting #85 to #123 this afternoon. niceguy37 - I notice that you are amongst this afternoon's group so will receive an email later today. Other than the original beta testers, we are inviting lenders in order of first come first served, so should you wish to know where you are in the queue and an estimated time when you will be invited please call/email us to find out. On boarding was slower initially whilst the team familiarised themselves with the operational aspects, however they are now getting through the registrations quicker so should not be too long before the pre-registered list is completed and we are then in a position to 'turn it on' as an option for everyone. Kind regards, Ed

Yay, just got my IFISA invitation! I like that we can initiate transfers from other ISAs via the electronic form. All my other IFISAs seemed to require me to print out a form, sign and post it. Electronic only is far less hassle! Aww, foiled! It seems the Building Society that I want to transfer from still want to see wet ink... MoneyThing I did have one question regarding the T&Cs at: www.moneything.com/isaterms/Does that mean that if I neither add £1,000 of new money nor transfer in that amount during any tax year then my IFISA account gets closed? I am more used to ISAs that remain open but just let me manage funds from previous tax years (as hinted at in another of the terms):

I am more used to ISAs that remain open but just let me manage funds from previous tax years (as hinted at in another of the terms): Almost certainly this is treating each tax years subscription separately, such that at the end of each tax year, the amount subscribed must be either £0 or at least £1000. This is in keeping with the HMRC use of ISA to mean one tax year's worth of subscriptions in some of its literature. In any case, the inconsistency in the MT terms could do with being addressed. There is an implication that a subscription of between £0.01 and £999.99 during a tax year could result in the whole thing being closed - I'm not sure how that would be dealt with in practice.

Afternoon,
Just updated the platform to now allow lenders to move funds (under 'Move Funds'), between their standard & ISA accounts.
