Hi marka, Thanks for your message. Yes- we haven't released our IFISA to anyone except pre-registered users so far. Once we're ready for general release, we'll make sure all the information is available on our website. Kind regards Sophie

I've just received an email saying that this is now open to all comers. Well done, Moneything.
Let's hope it lubricates the secondary market so I can sell up my regular account (aside from non-performing loans), and buy them in my IFISA.

Quick Q - i've just opened an IFISA and I can't see how to transfer money in to it, as opposed to transfer into my normal MT account, or indeed any way to access the IFISA account. Do I need a different login account or is there a way to toggle between the accounts like on ABL?

Transfer money to your normal account, switch to the IFISA account, select funds and then "move funds in".

Do I need a different login account or is there a way to toggle between the accounts like on ABL? You can toggle between normal and Isa accounts by clicking on the blue box on the top right hand side, showing your username and balance. Once in Isa mode you can select Funds the Deposit and you can see a banking reference to deposit directly into your IFISA. MoneyThing , may I suggest you add this tip to your standard email advising a lender that their new IFISA is open? It's easy to switch between nornal and IFISA once you know how, but it's not obvious at first.

You can't do anything with your MT ISA until it is actually live (and you can switch into it from the user-name dropdown). 'Live' is not the same as 'I have applied for it' .. you have to wait for MT to email you back to say it is open. At that point you can switch to/from it, do all the normal things, and also move money between your two accounts (you actually have a new account number for the ISA at that point).
Beware though, since the ISA and normal account look rather similar, it's easy to make a purchase or sale in the wrong account, and I even managed to transfer money to the ISA account but tell MT I was transferring it to the normal account .. they sorted it for me, but I blushed a bit.
They have now fixed it so when you login, you come up in the same account you last logged out of (used to always come up in the standard account). Logging in/out on multiple browsers and devices (eg tablet etc) could get rather confusing...

FS had distinguished quite well the standard account from ISA one. I will advise to do same for MT. I can only assume it will happen at some point in the hopeful near future.

Sadly the MT IFISA doesn't seem to be working out for me, as there is nothing to invest in other than things I am already at my limit in or don't want. Unless something changes dramatically there is no way I am likely to get fully invested this year:( Other than is reported in the regular pipeline updates, is there anything different on the horizon SophieThing?

Similar problem for me which I have not yet opened a MT IFISA. Is there no way of transferring existing investments into the IFISA. I know you could, in theory, bed and breakfast them but no good if the secondary market is stuck.

I know you could, in theory, bed and breakfast them but no good if the secondary market is stuck. I managed to "transfer" most on my loans to an IFISA by putting up a loan for sale, then very quickly buying it back within my IFISA. Then move the funds over from the normal account into the IFISA and do the next loan. I lost about 5 percent snapped up by other lenders, but if you pick a quiet time you should get most in the IFISA. You could always use a second device (and possibly a second person) so that you don't have to switch your account over from normal to IFISA. The rest of my performing loans (i.e. those with current availability) are sitting in the sale queue until someone kindly buys them or the loan repays.

You should be barred from buying your own taxable loan parts or at least time barred to ensure a fair and open market available for all users.
