Hi, it seems it is impossible to withdraw 100% of Zopa investment at anytime unless money is being held in Zopa Access.
I would like to find out what are maximum withdrawal % to assess my investment strategy with Zopa. Please post your result here.
Mine is currently 96% and has to pay a fee of 1%.

You can't withdraw 100% in Access either. I've got one stuck in 'arrangement' which won't shift.

You might have got that impression - but it's not what Zopa's T&C's state. help.zopa.com/customer/portal/articles/1684618 would be a good read for you.

As far as I am concerned, this is how I have been told by zopa how to access money, EASILY. www.zopa.com/lending/access-your-moneyNowhere mention not being able to access 100% of money invested. "Please note that non-safeguarded loans where the borrower has missed a repayment cannot be sold." And I have just found out not 100% money can be sold in Zopa Classics, these are safeguarded loans.

If you read further down that page you refer to it says the following, important point in bold (my editing). So they clearly state withdrawal IS subject to these conditions. The comment earlier regarding non-safeguarded loans is for loans that pre-date the Safeguard protection howevrr that same restriction does effectively apply to safeguarded loans as well.Hope this helps clear up the confusion You can access more of your money by selling active loans to other investors in the market. For Zopa Classic and Zopa Plus there is a 1% fee associated with this service but there is no fee in Zopa Access.
This service is always available as long as the loans are up to date with repayments and there are other investors looking to buy loans. It's a speedy but not immediate service, as it isn't like an instant access bank account.
We have a fast-growing community of over 60,000 active investors but of course, there’s a chance that if there isn’t enough demand from investors to buy loans, you may not be able to access your money as fast as you’d like to.

This is how zopa explains withdrawal regard non-safeguarded products " Please note that non-safeguarded loans where the borrower has missed a repayment cannot be sold." 2. This is how Zopa promotes investments: A diversified portfolio When you invest through Zopa, your money is lent out in chunks, starting at £10, to a range of borrowers. Meaning if you invest £1,000, no one person would have more than 1% of your overall investment. Easy access to your money
You can withdraw your monthly repayments as they are paid back by borrowers or access a lump sum by selling your outstanding loans to other investors. The fact is, there is a big queue to join Zopa as an investor, there is no shortage for new investment money.I find it awfully strange if Mr. A can only sell 95% of his £1000 investment and Mr. B can only sell 96% of his £80k investment for safeguarded loans. It does not make sense

All this will change post December changes when Z say you can sell loans which are underperforming. AFAICS, though, there is still the possibility of an interest penalty if Interest rates move against you.
No way should any of Zopa's markets be seen as "easy" access or "quick access" or "penalty free" access.
Please read the T&Cs and understand the investment and access risk.

I can't find their terms and conditions regarding withdrawal for investors. Zopa only has RISK STATEMENTS. and PRINCIPLES. Hopefully, Zopa can resolves this themselves. They have recently got FCA approval, so I hope I don't have to involve FCA to resolve this so-called technical issues.

So sell 96% of your loans now, then a couple of days later sell the ones that will have received the pending repayment. The only ones you should be left with are the 'bad' loans.

It still does not make sense, I have been told it takes 10 days to sell a loan anyway, so why does pending repayment matters on a safeguared loans unless Zopa is deliberately delaying cashflow. Regarding the speed of Zopa loan matching, it's 4 days for plus, 0 days on Classics and 6 days in access. There should not have problems selling 100% safeguarded loans to another investors.

I would look for a technical/design issue rather than any deliberate manipulation of the market. The loan selling system ( used to be called Rapid Return! ) and the loan matching algorithm, have both been altered over the years and some of the constraints may have been embedded in the original design and too complicated to remove. Not saying they were good design decisions! A couple of guesses.... pending repayments - what if Zopa record the lender when they produce the DD processing file and use that to allocate the payments to the correct account when they come in ( the DD processing was designed before selling loans was considered ). Then selling a loan whist the DD is processing would need more complicated code to be added,or the DD processing changed - easier just to exclude them. 10 day wait - sold loans are part of the matching algorithm, which tries to allocate available loans ( a mixture of new and sold ) to available lenders to balance their portfolio. What if a sold loan was a very high or very low rate it might not fit in with the matching process, it might talk longer - up to 10 days - then perhaps it would give up? ( When I have sold loans last year the majority of the loans were sold on the 1st or 2nd day with a small rump of loans that took longer to sell ).

Well, i have been told it is a technical issue, but I am pretty sure it's more than a technical issue. It seems to be a system design issue.
I can only compare zopa with rate setter.
Ratesetter investor can sell out their loans with one year and rolling contracts easily. Yes it is almost done within 1 day, they matched almost £10 m loans weekly.
The way i see it is rolling = zopa access, one year = zopa classic mixed with plus, 5 year = zopa plus in safeguarded loans.
I cant honestly see why zopa cannot sell asafeguarded loan to another investor when ratesetter can do it within a day

RS has its quirks too. When I sold a bunch of 5-year loans fee-free recently I was not able to sell loans with less than £10 of capital outstanding. These loans represented less than 0.01% of the total but I was left with a small rump that will need to run to term unless the buyer repays early. No big deal.
