Believe me it's appreciated chrisI wasted a lot of time since 9th October trying to eliminate why my xirr had suddenly jumped with no corresponding cashflow. This included providing all the figures to one of your colleagues (at his request) which was the last I heard despite chasers. I think a simple email alert to all that the Dashboard may be wrong would have been appropriate - it didn't have to be the definitive numbers, just a clue that something could be amiss. Rgds

I've been a 'drip feed' investor so it will take some time before my returns creep up and compensate for time taken to invest. At present my sterling XIRR is 3.85% and in euro it's 11.87%. My hedge has compensated for most of the difference and fortunately spreadbetting is (as yet) tax free

We are extremely lucky that AC participate here......and no matter what their official line may be, I suspect it's becoming a royal pain in the ass.
However.
If you are going to participate, why the tumbleweed over an issue as fundamental as the balance shown on the flagship page of your redesigned website? It doesn't make sense to me that there is active participation surrounding the 20th decimal place of a penny yet Your Total Investment number would appear to be less of a biggie.

I have been into Bondora (there's a phrase!) since June 2013. I started with a trial £100 then ramped up to £10000 in from April this year. I too had a spread of amounts up to 50Euro/loan. This summer I have changed my strategy on the back of rising defults and overdues. Like others, I manage the overdues hard - daily - and I now start any loan I wish to invest in with just 5Euro. I have a couple of automatic bidders running with just 10Euro but these rarely produce results so 99% of my re-investment is manual across almost all Countries - Estonia, Finland, Spain - as well as risk bands - A1000 down to C600 and B, B+ and unverified. My returns are nowhere near the Bondora headline figures but overall they are beating anything that I could earn in the UK by a large margin. The thing that has really galvanised me this summer is putting the Bondora Loan Data (all 20290 applications as at last night) through a data mining regime and producing a decision tree for each country (including Slovakia). This is a tough process the first time round, but last night (the 4th iteration) took 30 minutes and is very revealing. For instance, there was a comment further up the thread where someone mentioned they don't lend to retiree's. As far as I can see, out of 31 Retiree loans in Spain from 01/01/13 to 31/08/14, NONE have defaulted yet. Finland, out of 89, 6 defaults (3 under the age of 60), Estonia, 31 with 3 defaults. What I find interesting about Bondora is that I am lending to real people. I look at just about every loan application that isn't snapped up by the automatic bidders and I offer to about 10% of those, aiming to keep my indicated risk (from the decision trees) to lower than 5%. I get between 4 to 10 per day actually making it to loans. On these that are B+, I top up my original 5Euro bid with another 5 Euro as they approach completion. This means I can just about keep on top of the 700 to 800 Euro/month re-investment needs. I started around the same time. The biggest issue for me has been the euro's fall against the pound - and I think it can probably fall further to around 0.75 (or 1.33ish if you do it that way). I hedged via a spreadbet.

Staggering.
Time for banter. No time to acknowledge a simple question.

Anyone know how one gets off the AC 'pay no attention' list?

chris Any word on when the FF loan numbers will be corrected in the system? Be nice to have the numbers for the Dashboard, et al regularised.

I simply do not understand how people can say that this was anything but an atrocious upgrade, andrewholgate and his team have unilaterally, without notification, consultation or my express consent taken it upon themselves to reverse my instructions to the platform both implicit and explicit, with the result that the platform has purchased loan parts which I neither wanted nor instructed it to buy and which as of this point I have do not appear to have been able to sell. On top of this we have chris repeatedly claiming that there is no change in functionality when there blatantly is. I agree and have posted in another thread about a cognitive dissonance that seems to surround AC matters. That said, I still like them - I just won't be investing further until my pending goes sub-2 months and my account balance is clarified, or corrected (hint adam my reply to your request of 14th Oct and my chaser of 17th has not been answered or even acknowledged).

If I may give a bit more balance to the thread, I would suggest that my pre-announcing the purpose of this post as being to 'give more balance' to this thread don't necessarily make it so.

On further though, the best solution seems to me to have "null" as a valid target value at database level, and interpreted as "no target has been set". The system would then neither buy nor sell any units of that loan. This would correspond to a checkbox in the UI for whether the system should attempt to maintain the specified target. (or depending on the database schema, it could be done equivalently by having the database entry for the target simply absent). Oh, and also, please return to specifying the target rather than how much the target needs to change by... to fill in the form as it is, I'm forced to do mental arithmetic (or open the windows calculator) - if the current target was, say, £150 and I want it to be £200, I need to subtract £150 from £200 to figure out I need a £50 increase - fine for nice round numbers like this, but a bit awkward if one or other number is non-round. What he(?) said.

Unfortunately andrewholgate I have had to select 'very bad' as there isn't the option to I need, namely 'Drove me to seriously consider withdrawing from the platform' which is the current position I am in and unless the Statement issue and the Auto invest issue are resolved pretty quickly or there is a clear statement of intent with details of AC what intend doing rather than holding wish washy polls to cover their backsides on a fundamental error of judgement and with definite timescales (not that AC are renowned for keeping to timescales) my money will be exiting the platform. As of last night I took the decision to make no further transfers of money in to AC, any outstanding bids being settled from sales of existing holdings and to cease reinvestment of repayments and interest pending the outcome of these killer issues that are core to the platform. The next stage being to make a phased withdrawal from the platform, followed by a straight sale and withdrawal. +1 Why have we got to work so damn hard at this?

All I will say is that had Zopa RS or FC done an update with so many unresolved issues, they would have been roundly slaughtered on these boards (and have been in the past).
It is to AC's credit - and reflective of their hitherto peerless customer service - that we are prepared to dedicate significant amounts of valuable time in the resolution process.
This, however, will fly for only so long.

Just got in.
Can anyone 'one line me it' for me, my Total Investment has dropped ~10% on the new site from what was showing on my Mini Statement earlier before the changeover (which, as an aside was also wrong and has an outstanding query with Adam).
My question is, have I missed some cunning thing I have to do to reconcile?
Edit, from memory the shortfall amount is similar to what I had in the 'awaiting drawdowns' where are they?
Edit2 Ok just seen SL175's thread - thanks, that 'one line's' it for me.

Yes, it's definitely the new website that's driving more deposits. Said no one, other than RS people. Ever.
