It's all sorts of amounts, the 999/1000 was just an example. The point was to keep enough in the loan to be able to see updates etc Why not just exit completely and cease to worry about it? Sometimes to see if my intuition was correct, otherwise because I might want to come back in

How if you sell £998 instead? That would guarantee >= £1 left. Or is that too untidy? Perhaps 999 is his lucky number. He could buy £1 to take his position to £1,001, sell £999 and see how that works out. It's all sorts of amounts, the 999/1000 was just an example. The point was to keep enough in the loan to be able to see updates etc

trying to keep just £1 in a loan, so as to be able to follow any updates So lets say I have £1000. I offer to sell £999 But the next thing I know somehow I have say 900 left but I am trying to sell 901 ie if it sells I won't have my £1 left.
Any ideas how why, and is there a way?

People are already dying . Corona Virus accelerates it. The sooner we realise we are going to die (eventually) the better. Do you really think that you deserve to be put on a ventilator at the age of seventy plus? The recuperation is enough to incapacitate you for the rest of your (unnatural) life and make a loving burden for the rest of your family. The hospitals are full of the weak, who arrived there first. The rest should be turned away to die or survive at home. Because we have the excuse of 'work' there's no one around to help them through their last days unless you can afford to take time off work. Its a hard truth but we have off loaded the responsibiity of care (for children and the elderly) for the easier option of 'work' and monetary wealth. Its turned around and bitten us. How old are you? Your parents?
I'm 70. My expectation of life is about 15-20 years. I'd thank you not to be so cavalier with my wellbeing

Can anyone do some fag-packet calculations of how the laird is doing in all this?

Folk to folk are no longer p2p; I just hope they eviscerate the b*****d the first time he tries it on. I'm sure they (f2f) are fully aware of what he did here What do you mean? They are clearly a P2P platform. No idea sorry. I think I had Landbay in mind. Anyway, I still hope they visit Cornish justice on the laird

As I read it for the GBBA remaining balance (but not entirely sure), we only get any more money back if the "profit-sharing" scheme produces any further payments. I cannot see how a provision fund can be called such if it only covers part of the debt for one particular category of investor (GBBA) but 100% for others.
That loan will be in trouble again long before a profit is turned, then offloaded to another investor and our deal completely erased. Rinse, Run, Repeat. Folk to folk are no longer p2p; I just hope they eviscerate the b*****d the first time he tries it on. I'm sure they (f2f) are fully aware of what he did here

All credit to AC for coming to the table with a substantial amount. Repayment of all capital and interest by the borrower would have been ideal/wishful thinking though bearing in mind Lendy, Funding Secure and Collateral problems, £4M actually paid over is not to be sniffed at. Funding Circle's so called London loan is what cooled my ardour for prevaricating borrowers. I now have little empathy with them. This loan was originated in a reasonably benign economic environment and the borrower has not behaved in a way that has endeared his business practices to me. Anyway I am glad to be more or less shot of the loan bar the few remaining dribs and drabs and any PF payment as my tedious involvement with this loan came courtesy of GBBA1. The three "borrowers" who've really narked me because of their disdain for paying up The Laird N G OBE (TC) Property in Trust (FS) Point in common. Aristos.

Had a quick to and from with someone at the administrator's about this today, quite "helpful" in a distressing way
The solicitor's undertaking was to transfer funds to FundingSecure, should the property be sold. As the property has not been sold - and the trust cannot be forced to sell it - there are no funds recoverable.
From discussions with the trust they have no intention to sell so unfortunately there is no way forward.
circumstances change. If that does happen are we still in line? in theory yes - but unlikely to occur.
So unless the occupants life in the place becomes miserable we're screwed. Here's hoping

Sorry the website isn't down but I can't find the website comments (moans ) thread
About 1 or two weeks ago, when I am on the page for a loan, if I press Alt-LeftArrow that should take me back to the previous page, but now it tgakes me to another tab in the loan detail. This is a crime, it forces me to use a mouse

Living in France. Symptom Monday, found and booked a Drive test (doctolib.fr) for Tuesday 10am, result (negative) by email Tuesday 21h. Thank god for free market (doctolib, test company) socialism (free of charge, the result automatically on the medical record)
But this hasn't stopped France from having significantly more cases than UK. Making it possible to get a timely test is going to get you more positive results, even DT worked that one out. In terms of deaths per million France is significantly less worse than UK (both being awful), the much vaunted Sweden lying between the 2. www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries

Thanks, that is very interesting. So it seems to amount to <redacted>, basically? If the monies are not recovered are there avenues for a criminal prosecution? Quite so. Caught them red acted
