Is it my imagination or did the July interest just go up a bit - though not enough to reach the correct amount? Yep, mine's gone up a little too, but combining both payments it's still around 72% short of my normal monthly payment. octopusjoe , please could you advise..?

Thanks for the heads up OC but if my statement is wrong,my dash board is wrong and my reinvestment payment buying new loans is wrong, its a bit hard to understand the comment "whats in the account should be fine" Sorry Macq, that definitely was not as clear as I had intended. What I meant is that the amounts being displayed in the statement and on the dashboard are incorrect, however the amount of money actually in your account, and your interest due etc, has not been affected. We'll be sending correct statements as soon as possible. Thanks for the quick confirmation octopusjoe. Will look forward to the revised statement and the 'display' amendments.

Agree with everything jester says above. I would have been happy to move a cash isa across to you immediately had transfers been available, but I will be reserving this year's IFISA allocation for a platform offering a higher interest rate. Ironically, I felt your ISA would still have been ideal for my mother (providing you still offer interest payments into the bank account as you do with the normal a/c's?) but as she would be a new customer of yours, she can't open one yet... Heres hoping you allow transfers in sooner rather than later (and when you do, if you're worried about being snowed under, perhaps again you could offer transfers-in to current customers only, initially...)? Also, littonowl , if your mother is interested in an Octopus Choice ISA, she will now be able to open one by opening a regular account like usual Thanks octopusjoe will help her open one up later in the week. Can you just confirm the option to have interest paid into your bank is still open for the IFISA. Also, and on a separate note, I've just had notification of my monthly interest rate and it is significantly lower than normal (c.87% less!) yet I appear to still be fully invested. Has there been a glitch in the payments this month?

Yes, thank you Gordon, just taken my share. Lovely LTV too...
Really hope this is just the start of many more 'bling' items back at Coll, they've been sorely missed!

Hi @filipkaradaghi I'm currently considering a transfer of funds from a S&S ISA into your IFISA and was wondering what the pipeleine is looking like for you atm. I noticed you had a few loans launch last month, but all are now fully funded and there's nothing on the SM either. TIA. Hi littonowl. The pipeline is quite limited at the moment: we have a few loans that are very early in assessment - valuations have not yet been instructed for any of them. Realistically, we are looking to launch new loan(s) at the end of the month/first week of September, subject to assessment and other. Regards, Filip Thanks for your speedy reply and update @filipkaradaghi I'm filling out my transfer forms now, so hopefully my IFISA will be up and running by the time the new loan launches.

Yes!!!
Despite assurances from Coll that there hasn't been a strategic move away from bling, the fact that we haven't had a single new jewellery loan in months now (when we used to get them daily) would suggest otherwise.
A real shame as I really liked the platform and the communication from Gordon. Slowly but surely though my Coll balance is now reducing as I fail to find anything new that I want to reinvest my redemptions in.

I had the OP concerns about a year ago, but actually feel Unb is showing signs of now going from strength to strength. Seems to me recently the dealflow has improved, with more loans daily, and this may well have come about due to Fs and more recently Coll's moves away from bling. IMO they've now got very little competition in this niche area and their main opposition would now presumably be regular bricks and mortar pawn shops. AIUI Unb offer much better borrower rates than what's available on the high street, but still produce very attractive margins for themselves (there's an excellent blog post highlighting the positives of their disruptive business model floating about somewhere). Edit: ...and here it is: unbolted.com/uk/blog/thinking-pawning-your-assets-unbolted-offers-cheaper-more-discrete-alternative/

That is disappointing and sadly means I won't be opening an IFISA with Octopus anytime soon, as the rate on offer doesn't cut the mustard for me to make it my main IFISA for the currrent financial year.
I would've chucked an old cash isa at it, if transfers had been allowed and it'd been flexible though.

Not impressed by the comments above, but would like some isa money in Octopus if it's not too restrictive. Briefly found reference to the ISA on their website when I was logged in, but now can't find a trace of it!? Never did find it an easy site to navigate, but does octopusjoe or anyone know if you still have the option of interest being paid monthly into a nominated a/c with the IFISA?

Hi stub8535 , We haven't made a decision on property only, it's just that we haven't had any quality opportunities of late. We would still be more than happy to put none property loans up if it is a loan which would be suitable for the platform. Many thanks, Gordon This is hard for me to understand when not so long ago you were sourcing and presenting jewellery loans on a daily basis, (often more than one loan too) and yet now, we haven't had any bling whatsoever in months...

/mod hat off I'm not impressed - it needs putting back a year, or maybe a decade, or a generation. Much of the on-line smelly stuff has now been covered over or erased, but as I tell the cats .. "nice try, but I can still smell it" ... Rambling through the websites, I think we can deduce where the May pictures came from, and it wasn't the June VR visit (if there actually was one). Far from 'soaking up excess cash' on the MT platform, this is likely to encourage astute readers to liquidate (if possible) and export more ... Yep, AIUI Ed is fully aware of the facts here, so how he now deals with the situation will have a significant bearing on my commitment to the platform going forward (and I suspect I won't be alone?!). I sincerely hope he does the right thing, as trust takes a long time to be earned, but can be lost in seconds...
