Is the Birkenhead loans considered as defaults?
I'm not personally invested but have been reading parts of this thread.

Early this year l wanted to borrow to invest, plan is sound and unlike others my timetable allows me to put in the work to make this happen but in the end l decided against it.
Reason being: - P2p is still a developing industry, this gives the rise for hidden risks that can't be factored in. - I'm pretty comfortable investing affordable income on a monthly basis. - Stress is something that comes with investing with other people's money and it might have an effect on my sleep.
Hope it goes well for you tho if you decide to do it, pls put a update on your progress if possible.

A few loans on the upcoming MT pipeline seems like a good place to store more cash, lower interest but seems like solid loans.

I didn't invest in these AE loans, or rather l did and sold up. However, l applaud the work by Ed and the MT team on their success with these loans. ++++ For MT platform !

I'm not in this but following the maxim every day is a learning day - can anyone say what actually happened without breaking confidence? (It sounds like the directors have offered to cover the cars personally even though the company is bust, which seems odd)Coll's model for grouped assets is a chattel mortage with a sales agency agreement ie Coll ends up as the owner and allows the borrower to sell on their behalf. If any of Coll's assets were unaccounted for then directors of a company might be liable personally for fraud or theft even if the company itself is broke. Hi Elliottm, l was wondering will there ever be a situation where a car under a collateral's lender possession will go missing and how useful is a chattel mortgage in these events? I'm looking to go into other types of loans apart from property and finding it difficult, so mite invest in some car loans in col.

Surprised they've got 30% away already @ 12% on this one. Each to their own I suppose. Its always going to fill up fast with the reputation of MT and Ed

We're aware that a buyer pulled out of completing the deal But is anyone apart from Ed our Borrower and the aforementioned 'departed party' in on the reasons why they walked away, what was the snagging point or points? I'm curious and nervous about the underlying motives for this loan and frankly I'm more enthused about current option 'Bollington' and the forthcoming South Glasgow student and Glasgow's waste. l am of the same view on this one. Didn't invest either on this Ground Rent loan for 12% is not my cup of tea. If it was higher % then l would consider a little investment. Actually looking to maximise on the London Restaurant loan in a few weeks despite a little lower interest.

Hmmm..... l just saw a glimpse of a bling loan on the SM for maybe 1 sec. Was just reading some other loans on the SM and the bling loan popped up only to disappear after a second or 2. There are bots for sure.
Doubt l'm gonna invest here, just nothing but property and cars (once in a blue moon).
Maybe time to consider unbolted.

As a side note Bollington 1st trance is going fast..... this loan on the SM has been picking up speed. I think people are choosing to invest in Bollington 1st trance rather than the newer 3rd trance.
Only last week this loan was stuck at £200k , now already £110k has gone and seems like more interest.
I'm so surprised lol.

Hi, not sure where to put this but l was wondering when the last time Collarteral offered a loan in watches, gold, or jewellery in general? Trying to diversify out of property loans (well as much as l can) but just haven't seen any on collateral for weeks.

low risk? the recent changes in regulations are focused on leasehold ground rents like these.
Any whiff of news remotely negative will send the SM crashing on this one.
Maybe its just me but 12% doesn't cut it. Better loans on SM to avoid unnessary risk l think

In the event of a default, would a legal charge be helpful in retrieving the car if it did get lost in the possession of the lender?
I'm not personally invested in this loan but potentially would like to . Just not sure how this all works as of yet.
I know Collateral holds smaller items like jewellery in their storage facility but not all right?
This would be a important point for me to invest.
