Thanks for the link Moogman.
I have been using the Maxthon browser for some time, even in its IE2 era and it it very good, especially with regard to security and keeping rubbish from Google et al at bay!

Oh! FS did not mention there was a 'new', up to date valuation. Would they be so kind as to belatedly share it with us?!

According to the Report and Valuation of April 2016, the Market Rent per annum: £30,000! So, either FS are heavily subsidising the interest payments on this loan .....are trying to say there is nothing strange in the borrower being happy to pay out c. £130-£150k interest for a year ....... are talking a complete load of bo****ks ......or...... well, this is after all an FS loan, so see if you can make up something more believable!

If, FS, as it "appears" almost certain, were aware that the the money was probably being used for a purpose other than that for which the loan was made, and having done nothing about it, other than to compound the issue by continuing to give more money, and exceeding the maximum percentage they contracted with lenders would be lent, they leave themselves open to being accessories to fraud, whether this is resolved quickly, or not.

Not in this loan but have been following it with interest.
It appears that the borrower may have used deception to obtain money for the court case, having stated that it was for the site...........deception, ergo fraud.

SteveT, thanks for pointing out that which I guessed I had missed!
I may be tempted to take a nibble now, although I held off on this one till now as fairly heavy into his other loans.

Am I missing something, as no-one as yet has commented on the latest update, not even about the inevitable overrun? Since they have now stopped work here until at least November, awaiting the result of the new PA, how will this work out for the borrower, as he has to find 300K-400K interest just to service the existing loan until then? He will need a very large increase in units just to pay for that, let alone the additional interest on a further loan to build those units before he makes an additional profit? Can someone with more savvy than me, please point out the obvious!!!!

One for you old hands here.............what is the difference in Lendy speak between "matters being finalised" and "matters being concluded"!?

Thank you epicurean and blender for your concise overviews of this rather complicated and imprecise loan. Very thought provoking........................

Kudos. Well done on getting it paid.
A previous update stated
Part repayment was made to investors. We have accepted an offer from the borrower for full and final settlement of capital and interest and are now working towards completing this.
So if an offer was made, that implies it was below the expected full repayment due? Was the subsequently accepted payment for all of the expected interest and fees and capital and not for a negotiated lower settlement?
Were additional repayments made to investors in excess of the funds repaid by the borrower i.e. was the provision fund used to top up repayment to investors, or did Lendy in any way top up the funds repaid to investors e,g, did Lendy waive any of it's fees to offset costs in accepting the offer from the borrower?
M
I was not in this loan, but when I read the update when it appeared, I took it that an "offer for full and final settlement....." was exactly that, an offer for less than the amount actually owed.

I asked for £1000 and got £310 too....so it looks like £310 was the max.
