If I were the owner of this boat I would be very annoyed with FS as 1) they have given the impression this chap can't renew the loan which he clearly can 2) considering the other major boat c*ck ups then I guess people are going to wonder if this one is going the same way. If this renewal does not fill (I expect it will) then I wonder if he could sue FS for libel? Actually I know nothing about boats but my research indicates these boats are highly desirable and she should sell unlike the 5 sailing relics we all know about - I made the valuation a lot less than FS but I may be wrong as I don't know this market so can anybody comment. I thank you. www.boatshop24.co.uk/boats-for-sale/fairlineI havent scrutinised yet but may give some indication ? 4th one down is a Targa..2004 but same size..ish Edit..or this ..2002..but I think its got slightly more powerful engines ? www.boatshop24.co.uk/superyachts/fairline-targa-52/195617Ha ha..note the FC ad on 2nd link ?

Renewing and Re-Valued! Fantastic track record FS has, particularly with boats & boatyards, I'm taking out a second mortgage and dumping the lot into this sure thing. The loan will open on Saturday 21st July, 10:00am (loan reference: 1583949081) This is a renewal of loan ref 1014724862. This means the borrower has paid the interest to-date to extend the loan for a further 6 months This is a standard six-month loan secured against a 52ft Sports Cruiser, with a marine mortgage registered with the UK Ships Registry The boat has been re-valued for selling with estimates of between £199,000 to £225,000. Yipee...have you checked the emails not another spoof ? ...my one and only boaty mcboatface left....needless to say im going to chuck the kitchen sink at it...from a great height ..now bring on the arty mcarty loans..oh wait

Does anyone have any idea why there are so many offers of this loan with 1% discount? Any recent updates that affected the market? Anyone with DD Central access? You should go to Google earth/map and take a trip down the street & see what you think of the place.
When I was doing my DD I noticed the number of For Sale/To Let/Closing Down Sales. Doesn't look health to me.
What do you think ?
Probably snowflakes..there's £7925 currently on the SM...which represents 7.4%...hardly the Great Depression n'est pas ?..have another butchers around the 100 day mark perhaps ?

To me, they are getting what they deserve and I hope it forces them to take action on some of the ancient loans. Hear hear...but will they ?

Its a big loan and no planning for new use, the fellow may have a buyer lined up as stated but if that planning does not happen cant see the value standing up; will give it a miss A few BH's flexing their wallets so far ..more than half accounted for in a handful of bids

The loan was never underwritten hence why FS had to add committed buyer. I’m not in this loan but please ask FS and let us know if they give you a full complete answer about whether this was loan was underwritten or not. Maybe so but this was included "As this means this is effectively a guaranteed return of 8% for 6 months investment - the interest offered is lower than usual." Game, set and match ?

well he has had since over 6 months to prove this is not an idle wish.... Talking of the word 'adamant'...heard this on local radio yesterday evening. The pop nerd Adam Ant was relieving himself in a local latrine, as one does on occasions and at the same time, pondering on what name to call his erstwhile band. Clearly not interested about matters in hand at the time, he noticed that the porcelain receptacle he was aiming at had the name Adamant.(once made by Twyford's ) Bingo...talk about taking the p*ss www.flickr.com/photos/clivehurst/40166327050

Damnation..had to work today so missed the update...on the subject of Lampwick ...does anyone know if we have to accept FS's stance of can kicking or is there any point in contacting them with a view to encouraging some action. Surely, the more the legal parasites are allowed to prevaricate, the less we're going to end up with. Im not familiar with the due process but I cant see what incentive there is for either the borrower, the parasites or FS to bring this to a conclusion sooner rather than later.

Just received an email to say it has not changed to "Unredeemed" and the earlier email was a mistake. Loan still active and borrower has confirmed they will be paying interest and renewing. Hope they don't behave like other boat owners! God Almighty...what on earth is going on at Stokenchurch ?

"Boat is secured by a marine mortgage registered against the vessel, lodged at the ships registry. Boat is restricted to movements only within British waters, monitored through MSSI/AIS. It is fully insured for £211,000 (plus appropriate third party liability). FundingSecure has been added as an interested party on the insurance policy." Whether that guarantees a full recovery, I cant say but one assumes there is something to sell Then again I'm in one of the classic car loans and they FS defaulted that pretty quickly as well this month. Hopefully its to try and get the borrowers to pull there fingers out with regards paying up! Im resisting the incredible urge to suggest who really needs to pull their fingers out but defaulting a loan 4 days before its actually due for renewal or repayment, seems to me to be somewhat optimistic based on recent FS managerial evidence. Maybe it was too close to 5pm and we'll get a fuller explanation tomorrow. As r00lish67 has mentioned, the loan still appears as active (well in my LB it does)

Both loans on this one to be redeemed on 27th July. Apparently. FS have, unusually, suspended them on the SM. as a country yokel can you explain to me what that means..are they currently unredeemed ?..a word that seems to be becoming quite popular recently !

I'm not in this, but can see no reference on the site to it being unredeemed, and its current status is "loan active" for me. Weird. 3 anomalies for me Roolers..1..Mail was in my spam..and according to my LB..had only reached 179 days...FS defaulting loans in anticipation ? and 3...just taken this off my loanbook 1014724862 52ft Sports Cruiser - Renewal - 12% £100.00 179 21/07/18 £5.88 Loan Active Curious and curiouser what

Mmm deemed to be irrecoverable. So no boat to possibly sell? Has it sailed off into the sunset never to be seen again? Or am I just being pessimistic "Boat is secured by a marine mortgage registered against the vessel, lodged at the ships registry. Boat is restricted to movements only within British waters, monitored through MSSI/AIS. It is fully insured for £211,000 (plus appropriate third party liability).
