Wow, this is shocking! Just saw this thread. Quite some time ago I did lend through ReBS (thankfully only a small amount), but after my first and only loan defaulted with a reasonable loss I decided to stop and stick with the companies I've had good experiences with. Plat**** Wea**'s loan was what stung me at the time. Well, I guess there may be concerns for the future for ReBS if ReBS can't recover much of this particular loan for their lenders involved . So based on one bad loan you're abandoning the whole platform?! If you are getting an average of say 15% and have your investments spread well over many many loans on the platform then 1 bad loan is barely going to make a dent. Or you could go to say FC and still get a 2% (or thereabouts I haven't checked the latest figure) bad debt rate. Though of course you should also spread your risk across multiple platforms. If you've read the whole thread you'll see that FC has also lent them £200k and another platform also lent them money, so that's 3 platforms due diligence teams it passed, plus all the lenders many of whom will have done their own due diligence checks. The only worisome aspect with hindsight was the bad reviews on Trust Pilot, but the borrower gave a fair and reasonable explanation. J** R***** actually paid the 1st payment today so there's still hope they haven't done a runner with the cash. I had spread my risk across a number of loans. Currently have 3 bad debts and a fourth that will be or should of been added as the last payment was due August 2015. My Average return is 16.27% gross and 1.58 % nett.

In fairness to REBS it appears to be a very honest reply at long last.
It also shows the communication between customer and us lenders is terrible.
The loan date was 23/06/2014 , Surely all this should of been sorted out last year.
But lets see how the payments go from this day forth

So there is no point raising any questions ??
Seems a very short sighted policy.

I personally gave up on REBS some time ago. I felt they had buried their head in the sand about chasing money.
And i don't think there attitude has changed if anything it has got worse.
You only have to look at feed back on the said Mushroom loan.

Dear Mr. Corporate & Commercial,
Please could you spare another 20 seconds in order to explain this £1500 part payment fully and unambiguously. The ReBS website’s “Repayments” tab shows that payments are up-to-date. There is nothing which might explain a £1500 part-payment.

09/10. Further payments have been received but given the delay in previous payments there is some confusion between the customer and REBs as to where said monies are to be allocated. We shall undertake a full financial review of the case and update both parties as to what remains to ensure that going forward, the account is agreed. This process will be completed by return.
Regards, Corp & Comm.
We are still waiting for an answer to both questions

I have no faith.
And for a long while now have been drawing down and making no new investments.
It is the handling of the Mushroom company that has appalled me most.
On the 24th June 2015 someone asked about 1500. The question has never been answered.
The Mushroom company has made 3 payments on the due date in 13 payments. The Payments range from 10 to 39 days late.
August repayment is now 43 days late and September is 12 days overdue.
The borrower is a blatant liar and REBS fall for it every time.
I have 2 defaults and normally on a friday after work you get a curt email.
No more investments from me

The one thing i like about Saving Stream is they make errors , read comments on here and try and resolve the problem.
The fact you can switch your pre funding on or off. And alter your investment.
Is in my opinion is a good solution.
Lets see how it works.
It should stop the melt down we have been having when loans are realised
