Quite agree, Steve. In fact, I've already raised this on the "currently down for maintenance" thread - and sent an email to Zopa. No reply yet.

Why are zopa not updating the monthly statement page.we are now on the 10th and my statement says last update is sept 1st.If there is an IT problem please tell and don't treat us like mushrooms KEEP US IN THE DARK AND FEED US SH-T. I think we can assume there is an IT issue as for the last few weeks we have been told they are making improvements and are off the air for a considerable time over the weekend ok. Nothing seems to improve as far as I can tell. If you really need to see the statements then you can download the CSV they seem to be working. You do need to be a bit excel savvy though to make them really useful. I have to say though I do agree with you. There is one issue though and that is all the download CSV files are easily confusable if you are trying to work with both ISA and non ISA. Also its very confusing sometimes when you have more than one account. Mrs AJU keeps leaving her ISA up and I cannot tell its hers or mine as there is no way of telling other than skipping to details or re-logging in. If you go to details its not always obvious how to get back ( You have to go through the zopa front end and not hit sign in option) I've asked/suggested a number of things but I think they may be fighting fires and are a bit busy despite them wanting input. It does look like they are interested though but time will tell. I'd prefer it if they would make the screens work better but I told them this months ago and gave up with them.

Received the following from Zopa last night
Good evening Les,
Thank you for your email. We currently have a problem with the statements page, whereby the process of uploading the figures from an internal report, onto the Statements page, is delayed. Therefore no figures have been updated for the September statement and you will see the 'No transactions in this period' message. This is something we are currently looking into a fix for, and once our Technical Team have sorted this, the statements page should be up and running as normal. I do apologise for any inconvenience this has caused, please do let me know if there was anything further you would like to discuss.
Kind regards,
Victoria Russell
We're always looking to improve!

Lets hope when it comes back that they have also fixed it i added an excel page into my statements store and during testing checked it againt my isa interest for august and my statements show roughly 1% less than on the current statements for easter. I havent dug down into yet to check my report but its using formulae i have used many times in the past. Just another concern to add to my growing list ;-)
I wonder if any of the work over the last few weekends has made more problems than fixed them. Hopefully not as i do seem to be getting more frustrated about the unavailabilty of zopa at the moment.

fishyhookyI also received a response from Victoria, word for word the same as yours (except mine said good morning!) but, as I had said there was no warning nor explanation on the website, she added the phrase: "I will forward your comments on to the relevant department to see if we can display a message informing investors of this delay". I asked for a similar thing on the weekend issues - just a note on the login page or even a replacement for the page if its not available. Fell on deaf ears though. For me the number of times I've logged in only to find after a long wait that its not available again! - is getting frustrating to say the least.

It seems that statement is up again sort of. Curiously I now have 0.03 interest from borrowers for the period to 15th Sept 2017
My statements csv data so far that I checked suggests I have considerably more than that, £24+ as of yesterday, so I guess the entry showing is incorrect. Also I have no defaults as yet so far.
So all in all the statement run for September data failed for me.
Edit: Its definitely not working in the investing side and in fact I've just noticed that in the ISA side the message says "Last transaction in this period: 1st September 2017 at 20:43" message so perhaps the interest is from 12:01-20:43 period on the 1st. ;-)
Upon deeper analysis the 1st entry for Sep 1st is an "RR Upfront Interest" of 0.03 but up to 20:43, the last entry in my statements, I have £1.12 worth of interest. I wonder if someone is just taking the 1st entry from the date perhaps or its just another blip.

I spotted something relevant in today's weekly update email: I saw that but didn't realise what it was trying to say at the time re: 2-4 weeks to update but it's starting to make sense now ... As well as the September statement not being up to date, I've noticed the numbers on the August statement even are still being updated by the looks of things as the one I just retrieved today has subtly different numbers from the one I downloaded around a week ago, which in turn was different to the one I downloaded on 1st September. A week ago I went back and downloaded all the statements so far to check that my monthly interest records were correct as things seemed to be a little out (I like to withdraw interest for the month after the end of that month) and 3 or 4 of the monthly statements seemed to have been further updated after I had downloaded them originally.

I think they may be finding and fixing problems that have been affecting things for some time and hence data saved from months back may be affected. The problem you may be seeing is that much of what you acess on the web is generated from data as you access it. The underlying data tables that are used to store data as it happens may not change but the reports and screens may not be using the data in the same/correct way.
To illustrate this back in 2015 there was a major switch in the way fees were generated due to hmrc changes. It took many months for Zopa to get change over correct. In the process i and a number of avid zopa lenders who downloaded statements csv's were affected as when the error was fixed the statements actually changed for about 9/10 month's of statements. The problems you are seeing are probably as a result of correcting an error in statement page generation.
