Sorry if this has been answered before, but are Lendy really required to demand a full copy of my bank statement rather than a header with the transactions redacted? I really don't like the idea that they can see all my financial transactions, for example transfers to other P2P platforms.
I find it hard to believe that the law requires me to provide all my recent bank account history to anyone other than maybe the police or HMRC.
They have just emailed me demanding this.

If they insist, make 15 transfers for £1 to Lendy to clear your statement of transactional history. Transfer the balance to a savings account and then send a copy of your statement which will not have anything revealing in it. Alternatively, just play with the HTML in an editor and PDF your statement after the amendments.

You mean stringent verification by financial institutions might not be as rigorous as they would have you believe?
