Well, absent something dramatic happening (and let's be honest nobody likes drama when it comes to investing their hard earned pennies), it's all data driven - reviewed quarterly, you can see the thread / data here. Secondly, whilst I appreciate the sentiment this might, in light of current "discussions" with one particular platform, be considered a little provocative. If comments on this thread turn into a repeat of what's been written elsewhere, or see ganging up on a particular platform or rep, this will be closed sharpish. |

Sometimes we get to looking at our homes and think to ourselves that it could do with a fresh lick of paint to brighten things for us and our guests I'm thinking that for many of us the P2P Independent Forum is just that 'a very special second home' a place where we come to do the things that are important to us, the Indy is that kinda place, it's our Club House and where we come to be with like minded people some of us may be fortunate in forming lifelong friendships here but I haven't heard of any marriages yet, has anyone been Married by registerme yet?  So without further ado I wondered if I could ask for everyone here to take time to look at our top board and the Platforms that we have invited in the past to be with us, please decide whether or not our Top Indy Board needs a little reshuffling to brighten things up and also to make way for one of our favourite Platforms from the Lower Board to come and join us up here? There's One Vote per Independent Forum Member please use it to choose one Platform from the Top Board to head 'South', this is our time to choose and this is our freedom.The final decision based upon our choices will fall to those who give their time freely to keep our 'Club House' running as smoothly as possible for us. I don't see the problem with having just the top level.
There are a couple of 2nd level boards that interest me, why move them another click away. Actually (and here would be a job for you dear mods), how about fully customisable home page so that I need never see my bargepoles (FC, COL, HUDDLE ....) again without trying?

Wonder if something could be incentivised so that platforms actually contribute.
It is worth noting that just because a platform has a rep doesn't automatically mean it's a good platform, just like a platform that doesn't contribute is automatically bad, but on the whole I would say there is a fair correlation between reps answering queries and overall customer experience. Certainly my favoured platforms have changed over the years in part because of this.
So perhaps going away from listing the platforms in alphabetical order, and maybe by some kind of other ranking.

What data do you have to support this? My AC and FS accounts As registerme mentioned earlier in this thread - it's all about threads and posts count on this forum. Holding a position on 'top table' does not imply anything good or bad about a platform - just how much interest there is in it. To demote or promote a platform because of its perceived performance could be seen as providing financial advice.
