I've never withdrawn money from FC - I've always just ploughed it back in. But for obvious reasons I want to now withdraw my available funds. I tried unsuccessfully 3 times last night and again this morning. The message I get is that they "couldn't verify that account" - they bloomin' soon verified it when I was funding my account in the first place.
I'm getting soooooo cross about the complete horlicks they've made of the lending and now this!
All my details are correct, any ideas?
I've emailed FC to see what they say, but I thought it may be quicker (and more helpful) coming here........

It's all to do with overly intrusive anti-money laundering regulations, you will need to prove your details, from memory sending a bank account scan (but I did it a long time ago) but once set up & verified works pretty well with no further delays.

There was an email on 16/06/2015 entitled "We've updated the way you access your money".
Basically ... Log in/Transfer Out/select Add Account/Please follow the instructions to nominate a bank account to withdraw funds to.
Please note: We will need to verify that any bank account you add is held in your name. If we are unable to do this you may be required to send us a recent bank statement before you are able to make a withdrawal.
This can be uploaded as a scan, or as a screenshot or download of your online banking.
You can add an account without transferring funds, so to avoid delays to any future transfers, please log in and update your details.
Once a bank account has been added you will be able to withdraw funds quickly and easily to the same account each time, without the need to enter your details.
I selected the same Direct Debit Account as I have set up to Transfer Money In, and it was accepted without question.
Hope this helps.

When I verified by bank accounts back in 2005 they were able to verify my Lloyds and Santander current accounts more or less instantly electronically, but couldn't verify my Lloyds joint account for which I had to submit a statement for them to verify manually (which took them a couple of days). I think if you do not have an onshore account with one of the big banks or the account name does not exactly match your name you will be forced down the manual route.

Thanks to both I've sorted it out now and have successfully withdrawn my loot. I suspect I shall be doing rather a lot of it in the near future...........

The lesson here is to make a small test withdrawal as soon as you open an account, and periodically thereafter. This should give you the confidence that withdrawal procedures are correctly set up, and how long it takes.

The lesson here is to make a small test withdrawal as soon as you open an account, and periodically thereafter. This should give you the confidence that withdrawal procedures are correctly set up, and how long it takes. Good advice. Having not made a withdrawal in the five years I had been invested, the new terms became the final straw for me. So I took £1 out a week or two before to ensure it had all been set up correctly and on 18th September deadline, following some heavy activity on the SM, my FC portfolio shrunk by a further £12k. Happy days. Except that I've left my total earnings invested in accordance with my current strategy to just let it run down. 8.6% fully diversified is predicted but Will be interesting to see how that pans out!
