This topic seems to be spread over a number of threads so has become hidden, so here's it own thread, I've copied and expanded a little one of my earlier posts.
I can see both sides of this debate, and I agree with both sides frustrations.
AC have said that a straight question will not be deleted, that keeps it simple if abided by and those are the rules set by AC, that is their decsion to do so, we can always vote with our feet if not happy with how they run their platform.
But likewise if a question breaches this (particularly in the grey area given it can be subjective whether it's opinion etc), then rather than AC delete the parts that breach the Q&A instead AC should delete the question completely, but then post the question in an acceptable AC format using an AC Staff ID as a question that has been asked.
I further think that if AC receive a relevant question via telephone, chat or e-mail (or where they think of one themselves) that they should also post the Q&A themselves via a Staff User ID - my thoughts on this are that it is unfair for anyone lender to benefit from the answer to a question that all lenders would benefit from. This would also help AC in terms of maybe not receiving the same question on multiple occasions. This would meet the TOGETHER part of their Fairer Growth Together slogan.
This i feel would satisfy all parties, and improve further AC's standing with the lender community in that they are adding additional relevant Q&As so all lenders can view them and not forcing a lender to re ask the question.

Mostly I agree with you, and thank you for trying to bring some harmony to this debate.
I particularly like your suggestion that a question received by AC outwith the usual Q&A channel, could benefit everyone if it (and its answer) was posted by AC staff on the AC platform for all investors to read.
The idea that AC delete only the part of a question which breaches their rules, and lets the rest of the question stand would IMO simply shift the argument from why the question was deleted to why PART of the question was deleted. Unfortunately.
