 Is there anybody there.........? I think for the first time in my 3 years of lending/donating/sponsoring/giving via SS/Lendy, & 2 years of reading this forum, this is the first time I can recall there having been no posts on the SS/Lendy platform for well over 24 hours, scary. Am I the only SS/L investor left, or do the weekly fact sheets now answer all possible Q's ...........?

It's been quiet of late owing to the loss of confidence in Lendy (itself owing to the number of impending large defaults and capital losses) and because across all platforms there has been a dearth of good quality substantial new loans. Many of us are suffering cash drag as never before - money piling up in useless bank accounts and nowhere sensible to invest it. Manchester has just repaid on MoneyThing and apart from hoovering up their own SM where has the money gone? I didn't even invest in the DFL for Vic**** Mill, if it had been on any other of my P2P platforms I would have done. Maybe it's time to dump it into Faintly Comical and head for the hills on vacation? Recent Government statements about increasing the rate of housebuilding might lead to a few more DFL type loans but even when they are at the PBL stage they can go wrong. Just look at Isle of Wight - it never got to the stage of a sod being cut or a brick being laid and it's already heading for a multi-million loss (unless maybe you own the access rights along the road??). Should there have been a 'restricted access' notice at the end of W****** View to alert people to the fact it wasn't really a true public right of way? Is this the issue at all? I think the silence shows that Lendy is dealing with all of the issues and is a positive for the platform. Nobody has lost capital, the PF, we are told is healthy and the interest keeps rolling in every month, happy days. Now stop listening to a snowperson |

Just a heads up, expect a scary letter from Mr London warning about spam posting, I got one recently! The rules seem to be different since DD central was launched. On topic, I agree that the forum seems to have lost a little bite recently but I will continue to check in. I have found it priceless!

Making this number of spam posts has resulted in keith 's account being disabled with a 24 hour ban implemented. All the spam posts are being deleted and the post count reduced to match. A repeat of this will result in permanent exclusion from DD Central. The forum rule about "polite and constructive" dialog hasn't changed since the forum was launched 4 years ago. Posting 21 random observations (all now deleted) today is not constructive, and his post count has been reduced from 42 back to 21.

I'm just keeping an eye on the final things I have an interest in and trying to decide whether or not to pull equivalent funds out of my 'not for investment' jam jar. I noted this morning that my favourite platform seems to have had an influx of new investors over the weekend, so maybe that goes some way to explaining the silence.
