I put some loan parts up on the SM of one of our favourite platforms.
Lender 1 comes along and buys the lot, well almost, s/he buys it all apart from 1p. It wasn't a stray 1p either, the part was £xxxx.25 and they bought £xxxx.24
So an hour later I'm scratching my head thinking what kind of k*** does that, Lender 2 arrives and buys the 1p part. Now I'm totally confused.

We have a saying in the Westcountry............'All the worlds queer save the n' me, & even these a bit queer'. It appears that you bagged a brace 🤔

(If like me they don't like odd amounts). The second person is either a) grabbing anything they could of that particular loan, b) needed a small amount to bring them up to a full pound and will take what they can get or c) felt sorry for you and thought they'd help out or d) even was testing the buying process perhaps.

Now I'm totally confused. To be fair, it could have been a "fat finger error". A couple of years ago I did exactly the same, and accidentally left 1p behind having hit the wrong key. After copping a"bit" of flak on here, I went back and purchased the penny and put the seller out of their misery
