ribs , been using this for over a week now and does the trick but for some reason, when I navigate to the next page in a thread, instead of taking me to the next post i.e the top of the next page, it takes me to the last post on the next page which means I have to scroll up to the top. Much less of an issue than the previous problem but now starting to irritate a little. I'm assuming everyone else using this script now has this minor annoyance, is that the case and if so is there a mod that can be made to the script to fix this? Thanks Spiral.

No this doesn't happen with me after inserting ribs' coding. If navigating to other pages my previous position on the page is replicated. Maybe other people can help with your problem.

If navigating to other pages my previous position on the page is replicated. Unless I'm misunderstanding you, I think this is the same thing. If I move to page 1 from your post (the second post on page 2) to which I'm replying, I navigate to the second post on page 1 (which I think is what you're saying). If however I am moving forward after reading all the posts on page 2 of a thread to page 3, because I am at the bottom of page 2, I move to the bottom of page 3 which is not the next post.

I am saying that the cursor position on a page is maintained if I move forward or backward to another page. I am not referring to posts but only to position.
