Are most investments deliberately announced at the 12th hour so that they fill even before people had a chance to do due diligence ? Also, renewals are invarariably announced at the 11th hour (sometimes as late as 9:30 pm at night) for renewals next morning giving people very limited time to DD / decide whether to renew or not. What would be the issue to give a few days (if not a week's) notice that the borrower intends to renew / repay. The actual renewal can happen later, but at least in doing so lenders can do the DD and click the renewal button in advance.

Ive only reached the lower ranks here, so my experience is limited and while I do agree there are times when prior notice is rather short, for e.g. when 6 loans/renewals ? came to market last Saturday 9th Dec all at 11am..if you look on the Available Investments tab and scroll down to 'Investment opportunities coming soon' there is a list of loans that have been accepted and presumably imminent. In fact ive just looked and 2 are scheduled for tomorrow at 11am. Not perfect of course but some help perhaps ?

With new loans I can appreciate every platform likes to keep them under wraps until the 11th hour. With renewals FS are so laid back about loans overrunning, I think they are genuinely as shocked as we are when the interest actually rolls in. The number released on Saturday was a bit unusual, especially as nothing was released on the Friday ....I suspect Thursday may have been the FS xmas party and not much was going on in the office on Friday morning
