Unofficial awards 2017.... advanced notice

Firstly, thank you to easteregg for his well run award!

In a blatant attempt to provide myself something to look forward to, I will be doing the third annual unofficial P2P awards in the new year. This will follow the similar approach to the last couple of years, see p2pindependentforum.com/thread/7928/unofficial-awards-2016-results for details on the last one.

As per last year, in an attempt to reduce my typing include more peoples views, there will be 3 categories of award which I will be looking for nominations for. These are: Post of the Year (i.e. which is the best single post by any forum member), Forum member of the year (open to all non platform reps) and Platform rep of the year (what it says on the tin). This will be in addition to the usual suspect awards, see link above for those.

As it was suggested that I should do slightly more to encourage nominations last year (*wave* @ star dust!) please consider this your notification of the intent to do this. The timetable is roughly:

January - Formally request nominations, categories and state the process for nomination
February - Open all votes for approximately 10 days, followed by the grand reveal of winners.

Please note, any attempt to nominate before the nominations are opened will be ignored. Claudia W does this much better than I do on Saturday nights!

Beyond that, please resume your normal service of looking to maximise returns, minimise loses etc.

Also, I hope to remember to include the Euro based platforms this year... sorry about that miss last time!
