Looks like this one filled straight off. 1496 investors so far. Allocation was at least £4k (and there's a £5k purchase visible on the loan page, but I guess that could have been someone nabbing the bulk of the remainder)

An all you can eat deal then! Also triggered a bit of selling in the longer dated loans - which was good for rebalancing.

1496 - about 1/3 of the volume of investors from say a year ago. I wonder if that even worries Lendy?

1496 - about 1/3 of the volume of investors from say a year ago. I wonder if that even worries Lendy? I'm not sure with this specific loan that too much can be read into the numer of particpating lenders. With this borrower now having (via connected SPVs) six loans on Lendy and one (with two tranches) on COL some lenders will already be at their per borrower limit. In addition, some disquiet has been been expressed regarding the way the Cardiff planning application has been handled which some may view as reflecting badly on the borrower (as well as the archtitect/planning consultant). Finally these student developments are all valued on a residual value basis which correspond to unusually high per hectare values being placed on the land.

The main point for Lendy is that this large loan was successfully filled - so no need to change any policies to lenders.

1496 - about 1/3 of the volume of investors from say a year ago. I wonder if that even worries Lendy? The issue of number of lenders in a loan compared to a prior period is flawed. One has no idea what is behind the total figure in terms of active/ inactive investors and funds available. Evidence suggests some very big accounts having been run down massively, not just on Lendy. It only takes a handful of these to have a significant impact on the duration taken and the numbers of individual lenders funding a loan. I think the only people with access to that information is the platform themselves. On other platforms where the owners are transparent to those that interact directly with them then one can get the breakdown and make a judgement call. If that then leads to the question "what are you doing about it" an open platform will be forthcoming. Lendy is not of this type, preferring to keep things close to its chest, for business reasons probably, even if the data's release, possibly to limited numbers of people for feedback, may help them. I believe everyone got what they asked for right up to about 28k .
However this would suggest that demand wasn't exactly overwhelming, but then again , it was a pretty chunky 2.5m loan.

The main point for Lendy is that this large loan was successfully filled - so no need to change any policies to lenders. May need to reserve judgement until the unpaid pre-fund amount hits the listing*. Has this happened yet ? ie. unpaid allocations being returned to the SM ?
