How do Ratesetter work out in what position in the queue your re invested capital and interest is placed each day, just that now and again I seem to be at the back at my market rate

The queue works in order of precedence as follows:
1. Lowest rate is always first. 2. After 1, the time in the queue at a particular rate is on a first come first served basis.
An example may better explain:
You place a rate at X% today. I place a rate at X% tomorrow. = You will be matched first.
You place a rate at X% today. I place a rate at X-0.1% tomorrow. = I will be matched first.

What I am trying to work out is, say there is for example 500 people who have auto re investment at a rate of 6.3% which is due on the same day how would queue position be worked out

Yes but with a bias towards older loans so a repayment from a 12mth old loan would be further up the queue than that from a 1 month old loan IIRC.
