I invested in some of the M*** GBP car loans in December, during Mintos' cashback campaign, to try to diversify my P2P investments.
So far, 10 of the loans have been due to make repayments. Of those, 3 loans paid on time, one loan paid 2 days late, 4 loans are 6 days overdue, and the last 2 loans are one day late.
I'm quite surprised by how many loans are late paying, is this usual for M*** car loans on Mintos? Or have I just had bad luck with the loans I invested in?
I know the loans are covered by M***'s 60-day buyback guarantee, but if this proportion of loans default, it makes M***'s long-term survival a bit doubtful.

I'd say your sample is too small and the holding period too short to draw a conclusion.
Out of the gut I say my delays are lower, hardly any get bought back. I will check it and give a more substantiated answer.

i have currently 22 mogo car loans. Don't want to spend too much time checking them but if i simply check the status than: - 19 are current
- 3 are between 1 and 15 days late
When i go to account statements & 'investment principal rebuy' i see 1 mogo car loan in the last 3 months. (can be because it was late or if the person paid it off all at once, won the lotto ;-) Personally i don't care too much, with mintos i keep loan amounts at 10euro (low as possible) to get best statistical averages. If you do care a lot, you can manually select your loans and keep statistics on lender details (country, m/v, age, amount, payback increasing or fixed, etc...) but well how much time do you want to spend... (or you can buy at the 2th market so you can see the past payment schedule) My 2 cents...

I've got 346 loans. 20% are late.
