Just a note to let you know that the 5-year lending rate will be increasing to 6.0% p.a. from Monday (3-year rate will be 4.5% p.a.).
Reminder that returns are not guaranteed and, as with all investments, your capital is at risk.

I have a few questions if you have the time: 1) Rates at LW over the last few months appear on their way up, in contrast to other places. How is that being afforded? Are your borrower rates also increasing, or are your margins being shrunk, or something else? 2) Where can I find the latest matching times? as it took I think 20 days or so last time I lent money. 3) Minor one - Last time I deposited, by debit card, I had to wait a day for funds to clear. If I send over first thing on Monday via bank transfer, would it clear the same day?

Hi r00lish671) Rates for lenders have been increasing recently as we've had an uptick in loans being disbursed, so we're just managing supply/demand really. Some of the less price sensitive sources/channels have had that rate rise passed through, either partially or fully, whereas some haven't and therefore our margins will be reduced. 2) New funds are currently matching within 1-2 working days. Matching times were often higher last year, particularly around ISA season where we had a large inflow in a short space of time. 3) Bank transfer is probably the quickest way to apply funds to your account. Payments which reach us first thing on Monday should be applied same day. Thanks

FYI r00lish67, - deposited £1k last weekend by debit card, credited Monday 8am - £100 loan chunks formed between 12pm on Tuedsay and 6pm on Thursday (there appears to be two runs per day) Full matching took 4 working days. I'd expect the process to take a little longer next week due to the uplift in rates. Should have waited a week.... grrrrr

Just to follow up - deposited £10k this morning via bank transfer, which has been credited same day. £1.6k is already matched with the rest to be matched in the next day apparently. Much better than last time around - Impressed!
