Panic appears to have set in with 2 individuals competing in a race to the bottom, the loan rating changed 3 weeks ago and no one noticed until highlighted today! It appears to happen today (25k on SM with generous discount). Last night was looking at SM to reinvest my returns at par or discount and 85 wasn't there. I have been on the sm periodically today doing some housekeeping and the post in this topic today was the trigger that highlighted a status change from 3 weeks ago to a wider audience.

Ok, I'm clearly having a special moment as I can't find any reference to this trading report update, where is it? Go to SM, click on trade, above the lists of bids/offers, green box saying company trading report, click Ah, interesting. That green box doesn't show for me (Chrome/W10), but does in IE- also still doesn't show after doing a ctrl-F5 refresh.. Probably another good reason for an admin comment if anyone else is (or should I say isn't) seeing the same.

ablrate this has been presented very poorly by the platform The report itself is quite difficult to locate, limiting the number of investors having easy access to all information. A email alert of new information being added to loans would be useful It appears there is no comparison to previous reports for investors to know if there has been a change or if this was the same as at launch The platform should be monitoring these reports to potentially explain any adverse reports before investors own interpretation

I take the credit scores with a pinch of salt, particularly when applied to new entities or SPVs. The information on which the assessment is made is extremely limited - not even a set of financial statements are available to feed into the computer. It would seem the CCJ is driving the score of Loan 85 and 1/100 would suggest the size of the judgement is fairly large, at least compared to the £111 in share capital that is the only bit of financial information in the public domain.
Might be tempted to spend £10 to obtain the CCJ info if I wasn't already hitting all my own risk limits.....

The CCJ registered on 15 May is for £ 2368.
So not so large at all.
I suspect that the concern is that the company has let it get to this stage without sorting it out and might be the first of many.
Alternatively they had a genuine dispute with someone and unfortunately lost the court case.

Alternatively they had a genuine dispute with someone and unfortunately lost the court case. If the CCJ is only £2,368 I can't really see what all the excitement is about. All it shows is that someone has had a successful debt claim - it doesn't provide any context eg was there any underlying dispute (valid or not) that made the company hold back payment versus not having the funds to pay. The small quantum strongly suggests a dispute rather than a liquidity issue.

Apologies if I triggered a panic - but it was a shock to see such a low rating and I thought I would highlight this for those who hadn't seen it. Of course if I were being Machiavellian, I could now buy back in at 1.5-2% lower than I sold out! But I'm staying clear for a while, and have plenty in the other cross guaranteed loans.

The P2P crowd panic very easily. It's hard not to panic them.

Do we get a double-length video tomorrow to make up for the one from last week that never materialised? I do enjoy the collage of facial expressions on the youtube channel :-)

But then, I've got no soul - sniffle.
