The "Green Crowdfunding" or Renewable Energy Crowdfunding is area that can give some returns, (and be social conscious), but it seems that there is not much exposure in web articles. I saw a article about the "Green Crowdfunding" that mentions: Source: www.crowdfundinsider.com/2017/05/100836-narrow-escape-german-real-estate-crowdfunding-green-crowdinvesting-now-legislators-crosshairs/The "Green Crowdfunding" seems almost like Real Estate Crowdfunding. There are projects funded by equity, bonds, and loans. Some "Green Crowdfunding" platforms are: Germany: - fairzinsung
- Greenvesting
- GreenXmoney
- LeihDeinerUmweltGeld
- Wiwin
- Bettervest
- ecoligo
Portugal:
Spain:
Sweden: UK: - Abundance
- Trillion Fund (no longer operating)
To ease the search, I post a link below, so you can see more platforms of this area of Alternative Finance, should notice that there are also cooperatives that "rewards" it's members with better prices on energy, not a "true" investment like equities or bonds or loans:
citizenergy.eu/
In my search, I found that, the platforms mentioned above (in Portugal, Sweden and Spain), accepts international investors (besides the national investors, of course). There are also, some platforms in France...
Do you invest in any platform of "Green Crowdfunding"?
What are your opinion?
(I have no relation to any platform or website mentioned)
Regards, Rick Lusitano

Trillion fund is no longer operating Thanks. Do you know the reasons? Changes to subsidies to onshore wind farms in the uk made their business unviable. They tried to then venture into a niche of crowdfunding not related to green energy and didn’t succeed. I’m a shareholder in the company through Seedrs, not expecting to see any money back at this stage

You might want to add lendahand to your list - British site with African solar investments

I think that the equity crowdfunding is an interesting idea but in an investor point of view, is like gambling, a chance in a million to get the jackpot. Investing in this area, only if for the thrill of the action.
