In the latest update: "As one of just two companies in our sector that makes a profit "
At what cost eh lendy? You make the millions whilst lenders lose millions! Why don't you deliver on your promise on this site and top the PF up from your profits?
Lendy is a short term model, at who's expense? Still they claim no losses.

Well I suppose that although many of the spinning plates are now apparently falling, the exact amount of damage is unknown and hence unquantifiable. It's a bit like that dude's cat in a box. Until we open ours and see shattered plates Lendy has both losses and no losses and would reasonably regard the latter to be the one to talk about.

But there have been no "declared crystallized losses" yet. Can you not read spin speak from the "ministry of truth" 1984? All platforms do it sadly.

I don't think it will be long before people see that Schrodinger's cat was never actually in the box! Now that will be something that I would hope that we can all watch from the side lines, but I am saddened to say that some of us will be well and truly left staring at the empty box.

Ah you have to remember that the box is quantum too, and the one you are looking at may not be the one in the alternate universe which actually held a cat. Or maybe it was a poke and a pig .. really hard to keep this uncertainty stuff straight. 8>.

I went to a pub quiz last year where there was a question along the lines of "What is Schrodinger's cat"? I answered along the lines of "It's a thought experiment designed to help you think about quantum states and what they might mean".
The correct answer, apparently, in spite of all of my protestations, was that it is a "philosophy".
./harrumph.
Colour me unimpressed.

I was in a pub quiz in about 1995 in which our team correctly answered the question about the goalkeeper who broke his neck during an FA Cup Final was. However, the quiz was being run by an hysterically enthusiastic Manchester City fan who refused to give us the point because of a minor spelling error in Bert Trautmann's name. I am still bitter and twisted about it now and feel both the wave and the particle of your pain.

Well that makes is even worse if you are left staring at where you thought that there was a dead/alive cat in a box but it turns out that the box was never there either and what you were actually staring at was nothing wondering if the cat that was never there is alive or dead even though it could never have been alive in the box that was never there. I think................................

There was a real howler there in, I think, a semi-final. Q: Who is the King of Morocco? A: King Hussein AR: Wrong, King Hussan In a translation/transliteration from a language with a considerable capacity to swap vowels.

Lendy is a P2P platform that believes in the "many-worlds" interpretation of quantum mechanics. It's unfortunate that in this specific universe, the valuation report of PBL155 was a pile junk and it recovered at 40%. In the vast majority of alternate universes PBL155 was worth the £4.9mm valuation and the loan recovered at par + interest. As long as lenders diversified appropriately across the multiverse, they are doing just fine.

Lendy, you find yourselves at a crossroads, you can either take a short-term or a long-term view of matters. If you're tempted to bolster short-term profits at the expense of long-term customer satisfaction, you won't need 20/20 hindsight to see where that leads: Just take a look at where Rebuilding Society find themselves now.

Blue Ribbon choc bars and ET said "ET Phone home" now in this reality they are all false!!!(google it if you don't believe me) Maybe we will shift to a new reality where Lendy lent on assets that were valued a tad bit better.

Now that will be something that I would hope that we can all watch from the side lines, but I am saddened to say that some of us will be well and truly left staring at the empty box. I had a colleague who visited Schrodinger's grave. The story goes that there was a jet black cat sitting on the grave, thus it turns out it's a real cat after all! And definitely not in the box (or grave). Of course, he only visited the grave once...
