I'm looking forward to the new platform. Any clues as to when it might appear?

I'm looking forward to the new platform. Any clues as to when it might appear? chris now needs to click his 'automated post' button for the one that reads "I don't actually know - the timing isn't my decision - but I expect it to be really imminent". He's got the other one he can click on too, of course, in response to almost every suggested change that comes up - "that's taken care of in the new platform". Sorry, chris, I do mean this in jest, but really, it's getting a bit 'boy that cried wolf' ish now isn't it? You've been making the imminent statement for such a very long time.

You're a harsh woman Rose (but also right)! Unfortunately so. We're going through a personnel change in the marketing dept so whilst the new site is more or less feature complete and ready to launch the wider advertising and events to launch it aren't ready yet and I don't know the timeline myself. I'll be finding out more tomorrow when we have an internal review of the project and where we're up to.

As far as I'm aware, FC don't underwrite the first loan request for any borrower, but if the first one fills they will underwrite any subsequent tranches of a multi-part loan to enure continuity of funding for the borrower's project. So far, no underwriting has been required (although a loan yesterday got to within about 20 minutes of needing some). Both loans that drew down quickly yesterday were second tranches, but I don't recall first tranche loans being especially slow, typically drawing down on the day they fill, IIRC. With typical FC transparency, they don't say where UW funding will come from, nor how the UW will exit their position.
I'm not criticising AC particularly (well maybe a bit), more a concern that FC may be cutting corners (surely not?) because I'm investing in most of them and don't want to see the security evaporate quicker than a shop full of [Imagination use required] because FC ballsed up the legals. I take some comfort that there was quite some time between FC announcing property loans and the first one appearing, so hopefully they were using that time to carefully and diligently create a pipeline of loans.

You sure you want to go public big bang when you could go soft launch with all the unpaid testers around these parts? You're really that confident? I think it's liable to roll out to existing lenders with the marketing kicking in a couple of days later so that we benefit from the unpaid testing But that still requires a solid marketing plan. We're meeting about this today so I'll be able to update you with slightly more solid plans next week.
