If I had amended the IP to look like that of a separate legal entity - despite legal advice stating I was carrying out unregulated activity - I would strongly prefer my own administrator who omits this entirely from the creditor update.

but unless you do further research into each platform, you don't know how big a company is, so for someone like me that doesn't want the extra hassle involved in this , i will just withdraw form p2p lending all together i want to be assured that the risks im taking are in property investment, not in the foibles of some system that hasn't caught up yet I would be pretty confident the larger P2P platforms (Assetz Capital, Rate Setter, Zopa, Funding Circle) are not going to have legal/regulatory problems. If you invest in new/smaller platforms then this is a risk in my opinion Members of the P2PFA might also be a place to check for 'safe' in terms of regulation compliant sites.

Oh come on. The whole business of Collateral's registration was so cloaked in fog that the best lawyers in the business are going to make a mint out of sorting it out. The man on the Clapham omnibus never had a chance.

F****** Collateral con-men. I am very ANGRY!!!
I just hope that the administrators are going to play it fast and tough with all borrowers and their 'assets', and not allow this to mean any slack in recovering all capital and interest due to all us gullible and trusting lenders. As for THEM, may they be investigated fairly, made to pay up for any of our losses, and then bring down the law on them hard, if that is the way it is.

At the beginning of last week i sent an email off to the addy provided giving my details and balance o/s..asking for confirmation of receipt etc..did anyone else who did the same thing get a reply....i haven't!
